ONE WORLD 堺筋本町 Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about ONE WORLD Sakaisuji-Hommachi? The lobby doesn’t try to wow you with some massive chandelier or marble everything – it’s just clean, modern, and honestly refreshing after walking through Osaka’s humid streets. I mean, the whole place feels like someone actually thought about what business travelers and tourists need, rather than just throwing money at fancy stuff nobody uses.
The location is genuinely smart, and I don’t just mean “convenient” in that vague way hotels always claim. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Sakaisuji-Hommachi Station, which connects you to both the Sakaisuji and Chuo subway lines – that’s huge if you’re planning to hit up Dotonbori one night and maybe venture out to Sumiyoshi Taisha the next day. What I really appreciated though was being tucked away on a quieter side street in Minami-Kyuhojimachi. You get easy access to everything without the constant buzz of traffic that hits some of the hotels closer to the main drags. There’s actually a decent convenience store about fifty meters away (because let’s be real, you’ll need it), and I stumbled across this little ramen shop around the corner that locals seem to frequent – always a good sign.
The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star in Japan – not huge, but intelligently designed so nothing feels cramped. The bed was actually comfortable, which honestly isn’t always a given, and the bathroom had one of those deep Japanese tubs that’s perfect after spending all day walking around Osaka Castle or getting lost in the covered shopping arcades. Here’s something I didn’t expect: the soundproofing is really good. I was worried about street noise since I’m a light sleeper, but even with the windows facing the road, it stayed quiet through the night. The WiFi worked without any of those annoying login pages, and there were enough outlets near the desk area – small things that matter when you’re actually living in the space for a few days. Staff spoke solid English and were helpful without being overly formal, which struck the right balance for me. The 8.1 rating makes sense; it’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in Osaka, but it delivers on what matters most – clean, comfortable, well-located, and reasonably priced for what you get in this part of the city.
Osaka travel planning should be done early, especially during peak hanami season when the city hosts internationally celebrated festivals and matsuri celebrations in Tennoji and other iconic cultural districts.

Location is wonderful as convenient store is just next door.

Pre-arrival communications were prompt and efficient. The place felt new and modern and was quite clean. It was perfect for our group of 8. The Family Mart and the Life supermarket nearby were very convenient. We liked that the keypad numbers are not "fixed"; that gave a sense of added security. We appreciated that there was an elevator (even though it goes up to only the 4/F).
What could be improved: There was no hand soap at the 6/F bathroom. It would have been nice to have hand towels to dry hands at each of the washrooms. The smaller bedroom on the 5/F did not have a closet, though there was one on the floor plan that was provided. WiFi on the upper floors was not very good.Mohamed from United Arab Emirates – 11 May 2023 (9/10)

This place was a very cool experience, having the entire building to yourself was so much fun and a welcome bit of space being in Japan! It was super easy to find from Sakaisuji Honmachi Station and right next to a Family Mart! It was about a 20 minute walk to dotonbori.
The highlight was definitely the top floor with the sauna and balcony. The kitchen was well equipped and the living area was large and comfortable. Three separate bedrooms accommodated 6 of us very comfortably but you could easily fit 12 people with the amount of bed options.
Check in was easy, having a keypad lock is super convenient for large groups and communication with the host was good!
What could be improved: Check in isn't until 4pm in the afternoon which made planning the day a little difficult. They charged for early check in and late check out and said that it's for the cleaning but we did notice the house hadn't been cleaned very well. Bed sheets had stains, some of the toilets were unclean and we couldn't find the Aircon remote for the living room so looked under the couch and found it as well as a bunch of rubbish. This was also the case for under some of the beds.
This was the only part we didn't like though and despite that would stay here again!Thomas from United States – 6 October 2024 (9/10)
We had use of the entire home. Everything was orderly and very comfortable. The elevator was helpful up to the 4th floor.
What could be improved: The 5th and 6th floor didn't have use of the elevator which made it difficult for older guests.
It would have been great to have a toilet on the first and 5th floor.
The shower drain on the 6th floor didn't drain properly.
We had to clean the drain trap which was clogged with hair.Sound from Hong Kong – 20 August 2024 (7/10)
Location is ok
Have all the essential
What could be improved: The curtain at one of the room doesn’t close
I think it’s is a hostel, so if you are a family looking for 3 rooms in the same place would be suitable. But the showers are on the ground floorDarell from Malaysia – 10 August 2023 (8/10)

Rooms were modern and extremely clean. Sauna and roof terrace were an excellent bonus and our group used them a lot. Kitchen had all the needed amenities. We had the whole apartment booked as our group was large (11 people) but it didn't feel crowded as there were rooms on 6 floors and altogether 3 showers and 4 toilets.
