Super Hotel Premier Namba Shinsaibashi Natural Hot Spring Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Super Hotel Premier Namba Shinsaibashi Natural Hot Spring, you immediately notice how they’ve managed to pack so much into what’s essentially a compact three-star property. The lobby isn’t huge, but it’s clean and efficient — honestly, that’s the theme throughout this place. What caught my attention right away was learning about the natural hot spring bath upstairs, which isn’t something you expect to find in the heart of Osaka‘s busiest district. The attention to detail in such a compact space is genuinely impressive.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about this hotel’s location — it’s ridiculously good. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Shinsaibashi-suji, which means you can stumble back to your room after exploring the neon-lit chaos of Dotonbori without dealing with trains or taxis. Couples rate the location 9.3 out of 10, and after staying here, you’ll understand why completely. You’ve got Amerikamura’s quirky shops to the west, the upscale Shinsaibashi shopping to the east, and Namba’s incredible food scene just south of you. The neighborhood truly offers something for every traveler.

The Room Experience

The rooms are compact — let’s be honest about that — but they’re designed with Japanese efficiency in mind. Everything has its place, and somehow it all works without feeling cramped or uncomfortable. The beds are surprisingly comfortable, as Super Hotel takes their sleep quality seriously. You’ll find all the basics you need for a comfortable stay. What I appreciated was how quiet it stays despite being in such a busy area — the soundproofing actually does its job remarkably well.

Hot Springs in the City

Now, about that natural hot spring bath — this is where the hotel really sets itself apart from other budget-friendly options in the area. After a long day of walking through Osaka’s streets, soaking in those mineral-rich waters feels absolutely incredible. The public bath area is well-maintained and follows proper onsen etiquette, so don’t worry if you’re new to the experience. It’s open until late, which means you can unwind after your evening adventures in Dotonbori. This feature alone makes the stay memorable.

Why Guests Love It

The breakfast buffet is solid — nothing fancy, but it covers Japanese and Western basics to fuel your day of exploration. What really makes this place work is how it balances location, price, and those little extras like the hot spring. You’re paying three-star prices but getting perks that many pricier hotels don’t offer their guests. The staff speaks enough English to help with basic needs, and the whole operation runs smoothly. For travelers who want to be right in the action without breaking the bank, this Super Hotel location delivers exactly what it promises. That hot spring bath is honestly the perfect end to any day spent exploring Osaka.

Reviews of Super Hotel Premier Namba Shinsaibashi Natural Hot Spring

Good hotel, with the best AC out of all hotels we visited! Nice common bath. You could choose you own pillows in the lobby which was nice.

What could be improved: The pjs was in a polyester scratchy material. You have to check out at 10 am, it's usually 11 am at other places.

  • Joanne from Canada – 11 February 2025 (9/10)

The location was really convenient and there were lots of little touches that were extra and not expected, like the cocktail bar experience and choosing your own pillow

What could be improved: Rooms felt a bit small, but it's expected. The full table might have been too big for the size of the room, half size might have made it feel like it had more space

  • Nicole from United States – 7 February 2025 (9/10)

A PERFECTLY designed little room that was exactly what I was looking for. A comfortable bed with a small couch (that could convert into an additional futon I believe?) and a little side table that was perfectly proportional. A microwave, fridge and a typical Japanese shower tub completed the picture. The public bath was a selling point for me and I took full advantage of it's small but lovely setup. Really enjoyed the updated entertainment system that allowed me to log in to Netflix to relax (this was the last night of my trip and I was worn out and not interested in maximizing my time out of the room beyond grabbing dinner and doing a little shopping in nearby Dontonburi). Drinks and snacks in the lobby each evening were a lovely touch. They also offered a breakfast for an additional fee – I didn't take advantage of it but it looked great from what I saw. This is a pretty large chain of hotels and for short solo stays this would easily win over the few other similar styled ones I stayed at during my trip. Contactless checkout and friendly staff.

    What could be improved: Nothing!

Good option for a one night stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is an opportunity to use luggage delivery.

What could be improved: They don’t let people with tattoos use onsen.

  • Aye from Australia – 29 November 2024 (7/10)

What could be improved: A bit far from train station.

Very good hotel! Near Dotonbori and many foodplaces, but further from Osaka centre. The metro is near, so that wasn’t a big problem. Even a familymart across the street. Friendly staff and possibility to store our luggage as well at the end. The hotelroom is cosy, like most hotels with the basic facilities. You can choose your own pillow downstairs (first come, first served though) and complementary beauty samples. The onsen was a nice feature. Our toilet was leaking a bit on the floor and they moved us to another hotelroom without a problem.
From 17-20u there is possiblity to get a free drink from their bar downstairs, we only used it once though since the time frame was not in our favour.

What could be improved: A standard room is good for a couple, but might be tight in space if you are not used to be close with each other. There are bigger rooms available though!

  • Joo from Australia – 7 July 2024 (8/10)

The hotel was located close to Dotonbori which made late night exploring very easy. Using a pin instead of key cards to access rooms was great – no more forgetting cards. Welcome drinks from 5-8 was great.

What could be improved: There was only 1 elevator so getting up and down sometimes took a long time.

  • Norihisa from United States – 11 June 2024 (9/10)

It is near one block of douton Bori which nights life going 24hours . It is very nice natural hot springs inside of Hotel .

What could be improved: Closed to subway around city is very convenient to go to everywhere possible.

  • Art from Netherlands – 16 May 2024 (9/10)

Good location, good facilities with a spa.
