Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Tokyu Vacations Osaka Midosuji, I figured it was just another business hotel trying to sound fancy. But walking into this place on Kyutaromachi… well, it actually surprised me. The lobby has this clean, understated elegance that doesn’t scream “tourist trap,” and you can tell they put thought into the details. The staff greets you in that genuinely warm Japanese way – not the rehearsed stuff you get at some chain hotels.

What really sold me on this place is the location, honestly. You’re right in Chuo Ward, which means you can walk to so many spots without dealing with packed subway cars (though the trains here are incredibly efficient, don’t get me wrong). I mean, you’re practically neighbors with some of the best food districts in the city. There’s this little ramen shop about two blocks down that locals line up for – the kind of place you’d never find if you were staying out in the tourist zones. The room itself was… actually larger than I expected? Japanese hotels can be pretty compact, but here you don’t feel like you’re living in a shoebox. The bed was firm in that good way, and honestly, the blackout curtains are a godsend if you’re dealing with jet lag.

You know what impressed me most though? The attention to practical stuff that other places ignore. The bathroom has one of those amazing Japanese toilets (if you know, you know), but they also have regular Western fixtures so nobody feels out of their element. Check-in was smooth – they had my reservation ready and didn’t make me fill out a novel’s worth of paperwork. The neighborhood gets pleasantly quiet at night too, which is something you can’t always count on in Osaka. During cherry blossom season it gets busier, but even then it’s not chaotic like some areas. I’d definitely come back here, and I don’t say that lightly – there are too many great places to stay in this city to waste time on mediocre ones. This isn’t mediocre.

  本町駅から近く、6名まで可能なので家族全員同じ部屋に泊まれありがたかった。子どもの分も大人と同じアメニティがきちんと用意されていた。和室、寝室（ベッド）、リビングの3部屋にテレビがあり、トイレが２つ。浴槽も大きく、キッチンもあり調理器具が揃っているので、連泊する際は自炊も可能。我が家にいるようにくつろげました。
