Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Super Hotel Premier” I was expecting some kind of business hotel trying too hard to sound fancy. But this place in Honmachi actually surprised me, and I mean that in the best way possible. You know how some hotels promise hot springs and deliver a glorified bathtub? Not here. They’ve got legitimate natural onsen baths that honestly feel like a small miracle after walking around Osaka all day. The location is pretty much perfect if you’re trying to avoid the tourist chaos of Dotonbori but still want easy access to everything – Honmachi Station is literally right there, and you can get to Namba or Umeda without the usual subway shuffle.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to pack genuine Japanese hospitality into what’s essentially a modern efficiency hotel. The rooms are compact (well, it’s Japan), but everything’s been thought through – the bed is actually comfortable, there’s enough space for your luggage without doing gymnastics, and the bathroom design makes sense. But honestly, you’re not going to spend much time in the room anyway because those hot springs are calling. The onsen area isn’t huge, but it’s got that authentic feel with proper mineral water that leaves your skin feeling amazing. I ended up going twice in one evening, which probably says something about my priorities, but hey – when in Osaka, right? The breakfast situation is solid too, nothing fancy but they do that Japanese hotel breakfast thing well with rice, miso soup, and enough variety to keep you happy.

Here’s the thing that really sealed it for me – the staff actually seem to care about what they’re doing, which you don’t always get at mid-range places. Check-in was smooth, they had decent English when needed, and someone even helped me figure out the best walking route to Osaka Castle (turns out it’s a pleasant 15-minute stroll if you cut through the business district). The area itself is pretty quiet at night, which might disappoint some people looking for nightlife, but I found it refreshing after the sensory overload of central Osaka. You’ve got convenience stores within a minute’s walk, some decent local restaurants that don’t cater to tourists, and honestly, it just feels like a real neighborhood rather than a hotel district. For the price point and that 8.6 rating, I get it – this isn’t trying to be luxury, it’s trying to be a really good version of what it is. And in my experience, those are often the places you end up remembering fondly.

  What could be improved: Breakfast is not that tasty and food runs out by 9am, but the staff is super kind and nice. Front desk finds it hard to understand English sometimes.

  Right at there exit 24 of Osaka Honmachi subway station. Quality hot spring Onsen and amenities. Great choices of breakfast and very friendly staff.

  I was pleasantly surprised by the pillow made of plastic bubbles, and I slept relatively well. I appreciated that the natural spring felt private and was not overcrowded; I truly enjoyed the hot bath experience. However, the only downside was the quality of the toilet paper. While I understand the importance of environmental principles, we shouldn't compromise on quality. Overall, the breakfast was good.

  Hardly met the staff but it’s fine, everything you could need is packed out on the check-in floor – during check-in, it’s also explained. The room was clean, the spa was really nice and also clean. You get fresh towels and tooth brush every day on your door. Location was really good, subway entry is just right before the building. The convenience store is just on ground level of the building.
  The elevator is pretty quick, the bar is free from 17-21 (though I didn’t find the time to try).
  The room is small but that’s expected, it’s Osaka.
  Absolutely recommended!
  For check out you only need to put a magnet on your door that you checked out, really convenient!

  No key is a nice concept. Location is great as it's right at subway entrance. Also, restaurants nearby are not that busy and good value. Family Mart on 1F is a bonus.
  
  What could be improved: Going to Shinsaibashi is a bit long distance walking (almost 20 min). Staff will be greater if able to communicate in English better.

  Very Clean and the staff were very helpful and kind. Breakfast was excellent! Delicious food and plentiful! Really liked the drinking water receptacle on each floor. Lovely onsen with long operating hours.
