Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Super Hotel Premier” I was expecting something pretty basic, but this place actually surprised me. The location is absolutely killer if you want to be in the thick of things in Osaka. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the chaos of Dotonbori, but tucked away on a quieter side street so you’re not dealing with drunk salarymen stumbling around at 2 AM (well, not as much anyway).

The real draw here though is the onsen on the top floor – and I mean, come on, how many business hotels have actual natural hot springs? It’s not huge or fancy, but after walking around Osaka all day, soaking in those mineral-rich waters while looking out over the city lights is pretty magical. The water comes from 1,000 meters underground, which honestly makes it feel more legit than those artificial spa places you see everywhere. Just heads up though – it gets crowded around 8-9 PM when all the tourists figure out it exists, so I’d recommend going earlier in the evening or later at night.

The rooms are typical Japanese business hotel style – compact but thoughtfully designed. Everything you need is there, though if you’re traveling with big suitcases, you might feel a bit cramped. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays despite being so central. The walls are surprisingly thick, and the windows do a good job blocking out street noise. Plus, the beds are actually comfortable (not always a given in Japan). The staff speaks decent English, which helps, and check-in was smooth even when I arrived during the dinner rush. One thing that caught me off guard – the complimentary breakfast is way better than it has any right to be for a 3-star place. Nothing fancy, but solid Japanese and Western options that’ll fuel you up for a day of temple-hopping or shopping in Shinsaibashi.

You know what really sold me on this place? It’s positioned perfectly for exploring both the touristy spots and the local neighborhoods. Shinsaibashi-suji is right there for shopping, Dotonbori for the Instagram shots and takoyaki, but you can also easily walk to quieter areas like Hozenji Yokocho for a more authentic drinking experience. The subway connections are excellent too – Namba station is practically next door, so you can get to Osaka Castle, Sumiyoshi Taisha, or even day trip to Kyoto or Nara without any hassle. For the price point and that 8.4 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d want from an Osaka base – comfort, convenience, and that little extra touch with the hot spring that makes it feel special rather than just another place to crash.

Good hotel, with the best AC out of all hotels we visited! Nice common bath. You could choose you own pillows in the lobby which was nice.

What could be improved: The pjs was in a polyester scratchy material. You have to check out at 10 am, it's usually 11 am at other places.

  • Joanne from Canada – 11 February 2025 (9/10)

The location was really convenient and there were lots of little touches that were extra and not expected, like the cocktail bar experience and choosing your own pillow

What could be improved: Rooms felt a bit small, but it's expected. The full table might have been too big for the size of the room, half size might have made it feel like it had more space

A PERFECTLY designed little room that was exactly what I was looking for. A comfortable bed with a small couch (that could convert into an additional futon I believe?) and a little side table that was perfectly proportional. A microwave, fridge and a typical Japanese shower tub completed the picture. The public bath was a selling point for me and I took full advantage of it's small but lovely setup. Really enjoyed the updated entertainment system that allowed me to log in to Netflix to relax (this was the last night of my trip and I was worn out and not interested in maximizing my time out of the room beyond grabbing dinner and doing a little shopping in nearby Dontonburi). Drinks and snacks in the lobby each evening were a lovely touch. They also offered a breakfast for an additional fee – I didn't take advantage of it but it looked great from what I saw. This is a pretty large chain of hotels and for short solo stays this would easily win over the few other similar styled ones I stayed at during my trip. Contactless checkout and friendly staff.

    What could be improved: Nothing!

Good option for a one night stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is an opportunity to use luggage delivery.

What could be improved: They don’t let people with tattoos use onsen.

What could be improved: A bit far from train station.

Very good hotel! Near Dotonbori and many foodplaces, but further from Osaka centre. The metro is near, so that wasn’t a big problem. Even a familymart across the street. Friendly staff and possibility to store our luggage as well at the end. The hotelroom is cosy, like most hotels with the basic facilities. You can choose your own pillow downstairs (first come, first served though) and complementary beauty samples. The onsen was a nice feature. Our toilet was leaking a bit on the floor and they moved us to another hotelroom without a problem.
From 17-20u there is possiblity to get a free drink from their bar downstairs, we only used it once though since the time frame was not in our favour.

What could be improved: A standard room is good for a couple, but might be tight in space if you are not used to be close with each other. There are bigger rooms available though!

  • Joo from Australia – 7 July 2024 (8/10)

The hotel was located close to Dotonbori which made late night exploring very easy. Using a pin instead of key cards to access rooms was great – no more forgetting cards. Welcome drinks from 5-8 was great.

What could be improved: There was only 1 elevator so getting up and down sometimes took a long time.

  • Norihisa from United States – 11 June 2024 (9/10)

It is near one block of douton Bori which nights life going 24hours . It is very nice natural hot springs inside of Hotel .

What could be improved: Closed to subway around city is very convenient to go to everywhere possible.

  • Art from Netherlands – 16 May 2024 (9/10)

Good location, good facilities with a spa.
