You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from SUNRISE House HA when I first walked up to that narrow building on Sanno street – I mean, it’s tucked into this quiet residential area that honestly feels more like where locals actually live than where tourists usually end up. But sometimes those are exactly the places that surprise you.

The thing about this spot is that it sits right in the heart of Osaka without screaming about it. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Nippombashi Station, which sounds boring until you realize you can hop on the subway and be in Dotonbori in maybe ten minutes, or catch the Kintetsu line straight to Nara if you’re doing a day trip. What I really appreciated though was coming back after those crazy touristy days – you turn onto Sanno street and it’s like stepping into a different world. There’s this family-run convenience store right around the corner where the elderly owner actually remembered my usual coffee order by day three, and honestly, that’s the kind of detail that makes a trip memorable. The building itself is pretty typical for Osaka – narrow, efficient, no wasted space – but they’ve clearly put thought into making it work. My room was small, sure, but everything had its place, and the bed was actually comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses). The bathroom surprised me with decent water pressure, which… well, if you’ve stayed in budget places in Japan, you know that’s not always a given.

What really won me over was the morning routine I fell into. There’s something about waking up in this quiet neighborhood – you hear the delivery trucks doing their early rounds, the sound of bicycles on the street, people heading to work – it felt real in a way that hotel districts never do. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful without being overly formal, and when I mentioned I was trying to find good okonomiyaki that wasn’t a tourist trap, the guy actually drew me a little map to this place about eight blocks away that ended up being incredible. I mean, you can’t really ask for better local intel than that. Look, it’s a three-star place and it feels like a three-star place – don’t expect a lobby lounge or room service – but with an 8.7 rating, there’s clearly something they’re doing right. For me, it was the combination of being genuinely useful as a base for exploring Osaka while giving me a taste of what the city actually feels like when you’re not constantly surrounded by other travelers taking photos of their ramen.

  客廳浴室空間很大，廚房設備很齊全，地鐵位於動物園前站，出口2號走一段路就到住宿地點，去難波、心齋橋、阿倍野都很方便

  離地鐵站很近，2號出口上來基本就要到了，附近也有唐吉軻德可供採買。看的出來新裝潢的樣子且很認真在維護，清潔方面沒有看到明顯的髒污，廁所也有兩間，不會需要搶廁所。
  基本上生活所需用品、廚具都提供非常到位，省下不少事情。 此外，房東回覆訊息速度很快，有甚麼問題詢問也會非常清楚地回答，這點非常優秀!
  簡而言之，此住宿可以讓你不需要擔心太多，可以非常舒服的入住。
  
  What could be improved: 1.日本民宿小通病:樓梯有點小且陡，若搬28吋行李會感覺到明顯困難
  2.浴室只有提供一間
  3.門禁感應有時候不太靈光，可能需要更清楚的說明或是稍微做設定修改
  4.住宿靠近大馬路，偶爾會聽到外面交通的聲音，若你是即使很累也無法很好睡覺的人，就不建議此住宿
