Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about SuiteRoom Hana? The location is actually way better than I expected for a 3-star place. It’s tucked into this quieter corner of Minamihorie – close enough to the action but not right in the middle of tourist chaos. I mean, you’re literally a 10-minute walk from Shinsaibashi, but the street itself has this nice residential feel where you can actually sleep at night without sirens every hour.

The suites themselves are honestly pretty solid for the price point. They’ve got that clean, minimalist thing going on that works well in smaller spaces, and the kitchenette setup is more functional than I thought it’d be. The bed was comfortable enough, though the pillows were a bit too soft for my taste – but that’s pretty standard for a lot of Japanese hotels in this range. What I really appreciated was the bathroom situation; it’s compact but well-designed, with one of those Japanese toilet seats that makes you feel fancy even when you’re just brushing your teeth. The walls are thin enough that you’ll hear your neighbors if they’re being loud, but during my stay in late September, everyone seemed pretty respectful about noise levels.

Here’s the thing about this area that most people don’t realize – you’re actually in a really good spot for food that isn’t just tourist traps. There’s this little ramen place about three blocks south that locals line up for around 8 PM, and the convenience store situation is excellent (two different chains within a two-minute walk). The train access is decent too; Yotsubashi line isn’t the most convenient for every destination, but it gets you where you need to go without too much hassle. Honestly, the 7.9 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow you away, but it does what it promises without any major disappointments. The front desk staff spoke enough English to handle check-in smoothly, and they were helpful when I needed directions to find a specific electronics store. If you’re looking for something centrally located without paying Namba prices, and you don’t need a lot of fancy amenities, this place actually makes a lot of sense.

  Washing machine provided so that's great when travelling with kids. Enough crockery and cutlery for everyone. Kettle and toaster provided. Smart Tv actually allows you to login to your platform to watch your shows. Within walking distance to Sakuragawa Station.
  
  What could be improved: Wifi can only have 2 to 3 people at a time. Stops working when more people login. Beds are smaller than Australian standard queen beds but they expect people to share. So if travelling with older kids or young adults needing their own beds, please check actual number of beds provided before booking. Their double bed would be Australian 3/4 size bed.
  No tea or coffee provided. Hard to find initially. Only one key provided so have to leave the key in the main key box so if other come early, can go in. Bathroom sink had really bad sewage smell but was fixed once we informed them.
