Walk five minutes south and you’ll hit some incredible kushikatsu spots that don’t have English menus or picture books – the kind of places where you point and hope for the best. The hotel staff actually gave me solid recommendations for these hidden gems, which tells me they know their neighborhood beyond the obvious attractions. Plus, you’ve got easy access to Nippombashi Station, so getting around Osaka is straightforward.
