Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name @RLiS_house大阪ドームシティ, I had no idea what to expect. It’s got this quirky social media handle vibe that made me wonder if I was booking a legit hotel or someone’s Airbnb experiment. But you know what? Sometimes the places with weird names turn out to be hidden gems, and this three-star spot in Nishi-ku actually surprised me.

The location on Sakaigawa is pretty sweet if you’re planning to catch a game or concert at Osaka Dome – I mean, it’s literally in the name, so that’s no shock. But what I didn’t realize until I got there was how well-connected this little pocket of the city is. You’re basically sitting between the Hanshin and JR lines, which honestly makes getting around way easier than I expected. The walk to Kujo Station is maybe ten minutes if you’re not dragging a massive suitcase behind you, and from there you can zip over to Namba or Umeda without the usual tourist crowd crush you get at the main stations. There’s this great little convenience store right around the corner – one of those Family Marts that somehow has better fried chicken than most restaurants – and the staff there got used to seeing me grab coffee every morning.

What really won me over was how the place feels more like staying in a neighborhood than a tourist bubble. The building itself is nothing fancy, sort of modern-functional with that clean Japanese aesthetic, but the rooms are thoughtfully laid out. I had this corner unit that got morning light without being too bright, and the air conditioning actually worked properly (you’d be surprised how many places mess that up). The walls are decent thickness too – I could hear the trains occasionally, but it’s more of a gentle rumble than anything disruptive. Actually, I found it kind of soothing after a few nights. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no endless forms or tourist trap upselling, just efficient and friendly service from staff who seemed genuinely happy to help with directions or restaurant recommendations. They pointed me toward this incredible takoyaki place about two blocks away that I never would have found otherwise – the kind of spot where salarymen line up after work and you know it’s going to be good. The 8.2 rating makes total sense to me because this isn’t trying to be a luxury experience, it’s just doing the fundamentals really well at a fair price. If you’re someone who values being in a real part of the city over marble lobbies and overpriced room service, this place gets it right.

  Great stay! It is a contactless check-in, and all the info will be emailed to you, it's very straightforward. The room was massive for our price, and we had a kitchen with supplies, a spacious bedroom, and access to a deck (plus!). I liked that the bathroom was all separate, with a separate sink, toilet, and shower in different rooms, so when you are getting ready for the day with other people, you can all do your morning routines fast because the bathroom is not just one room.
  
  What could be improved: The one small con is the location, but I think the low price we paid beats the location. It is not within walking distance of any main attractions. However, it is legitimately a step away from a bus stop and a 10-minute walk to the train station, so it is still super easy to get around the city. Also near a 7/11 and other restaurants, so it's honestly not that bad for the location, just not walkable to main tourist attractions!

  It is very well ubicated, close to metro lines. Uniqlo and 7/11 available. Easy check in and ideal for a couple or grupo of friends, kitchen useful.

  What could be improved: It’s hard to get a taxi. In the whole area.. Maybe Osaka doesn’t have that much of taxi.

  It was very clean and comfortable. Good location for getting around Osaka, close to convenience stores, restaurants and walking distance to train station.
  
  What could be improved: It was quite a loud area due to being close to the hospital there was lots of sirens, and train traffic.
