Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “R 新大阪 FUJI サウナ付きの５LDK,” I had no idea what I was getting into. The address in Kikawanishi basically translates to a quiet residential area that most tourists never see, which honestly turned out to be perfect. You’re tucked away from the Shin-Osaka station chaos (maybe a 12-minute walk if you don’t get lost like I did), but still close enough that you can actually hear the shinkansen if you listen carefully from the balcony.

Here’s the thing that blew my mind – this place really does have three separate baths, and I mean proper Japanese-style soaking situations, not just Western bathrooms with tubs. The sauna was compact but legit hot, though you’ll want to figure out the controls because everything’s in Japanese and I spent way too long pressing random buttons. What actually impressed me most was how the whole setup felt designed for groups who want their own space. The 5LDK layout means everyone can spread out without stepping on each other, which if you’ve ever tried cramming six people into a typical hotel room, you know is worth its weight in gold. The kitchen’s surprisingly well-equipped too – I mean, we ended up cooking actual meals because there’s proper counter space and they’ve got decent knives, not those useless hotel butter knives.

The neighborhood itself is wonderfully boring in the best possible way. There’s a Family Mart literally around the corner (essential for late-night snacks and morning coffee), and this tiny ramen place about three blocks down that doesn’t have English signage but serves incredible tonkotsu until like 2 AM. You know what surprised me? How quiet it gets at night, considering you’re still very much in Osaka. The walls seem pretty solid, and our group could get a bit loud without worrying about neighbors. Parking was straightforward if you’re driving, though the spot’s a little tight for bigger cars. Check-in was smooth once we figured out the key system – it’s one of those digital lock situations, but they send clear instructions. The 9.2 rating makes total sense to me because while this isn’t luxury hotel polished, everything works exactly as advertised, and honestly, the value is incredible for what you get. If you’re traveling with friends and want somewhere that feels more like staying at someone’s really nice apartment than a sterile hotel, this is your spot.

  Sooo convenient, close to 7-11 and Family Mart. Train station is a 10 minute walk, bus stop 1 minute and closest laundromat 3 mins even though house has a washing machine.
  Family of 14, (1 kid, 4 teenagers, and 9 adults). One level of beds was a Mezzanine floor, great for the teens. The beds are full size but are on the floor.
  Theres a neat little restaurant on the left of the house with a great price for meals.
  To the right, about 15 minute walk is a market, lots of food options.
  One bathroom on, bottom floor with full size bath. 2 showers inside, 3 toilets all seperate from wash rooms. There is an outside shower on roof, 2 baths and sauna. All floors have there on vaccuum.
  
  What could be improved: A suggestion, add a bigger mirror in a common room or both rooms for top floor. Only 1 room had a mirror but was very small.

  駅から近く、部屋も綺麗で良かったです。
  スーパーマーケットやコンビニがすぐ近くにあり便利でした。

  タオル1人につき3枚準備してあり、大人数でも気にせず使えました。
  洗濯乾燥機で洗濯もでき、子供たちが汚しても安心。
  お風呂がシャワーー含め3室 あり大人数にはお風呂待ちしなくてよくて良かったです。
  当日までの返信は早くて安心ししました。
  
  What could be improved: 階段にホコリ、ゴミになどあり入ってすぐの場所だったのでちょっと残念でした。
  シャワー室2つありますが、内1つは床が赤カビで染まってました。
  
  サウナですが、周囲には幕があるけれど周りの高層階からは丸見えなのでは？と思いました。
