You know what caught me off guard about Premier Stay NAMBA? The name makes it sound like some corporate chain, but honestly, this place feels more like crashing at a friend’s really well-organized apartment building. I mean, the official name is ridiculously long – something about being 3 minutes from Namba Station with 7 rooms and billiards – but that’s actually pretty accurate marketing because those details matter way more than you’d think.

The location is genuinely solid. When they say 3 minutes from Namba Station, they’re not doing that hotel math where everything is “walking distance” but actually requires a 15-minute trek through confusing underground passages. You literally pop out of the station and you’re basically there on Motomachi street. I stayed here during cherry blossom season (probably not the smartest timing budget-wise, but whatever), and even with the crowds, getting to Dotonbori or Shinsaibashi was incredibly easy. The neighborhood itself is sort of that perfect in-between zone – you’re close enough to all the action that you can stumble back after too many drinks in Dotonbori, but far enough that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists singing karaoke under your window at 3 AM.

What makes this place work is the setup – it’s clearly designed for groups, which explains the 2 baths and 4 toilets situation. That might sound weird until you’re actually traveling with friends and realize you’re not waiting in line to brush your teeth. The billiards table is this random touch that somehow makes perfect sense when you’re hanging out in the evening, especially if you’re doing that thing where you’re too tired for more sightseeing but too wired to sleep. The rooms themselves are clean and functional without being fancy – think modern Japanese efficiency rather than luxury hotel vibes. The 8.3 rating feels about right; it’s not going to blow your mind with incredible service or amenities, but it does what it promises without any nasty surprises.

I will say the check-in process was a bit more DIY than some places – lots of instructions and codes rather than someone greeting you with a smile and handling everything. But honestly, once you figure out the system, it’s kind of nice not having to make small talk when you just want to drop your bags and explore. The building itself is pretty quiet, which is impressive considering you’re in central Osaka. I think being slightly off the main drag helps with that. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and daily housekeeping, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a clean, well-located base for exploring Osaka with friends – and you don’t mind figuring out a few things yourself – it actually works really well.

  I like how there were 2 bathrooms and 2 washer/dryers as there was 7 of us. The kids likes the lift the most
  
  What could be improved: That it said it was 3 bedrooms but there was only 2 my boys slept on the floor in the Japanese room. There were no coffee cups or knives. We didn’t like that people smoked at the front door where there was an ashtray as the smell would come into the place.

  Very good place to stay.. staff are very helpful for my concern. And very close to all shopping center and very convenient for the tourist.

  What could be improved: The air conditioning on the 4th and 5th floors is not cooling. The landlord said there's no problem. I also bought a thermometer to measure the temperature, in fact, when I turned the temperature to the lowest and the air volume to the maximum, it didn't cool. The accommodation experience is average in hot weather and not recommended.

  注意電梯只到4樓，有2個房間在5、6樓~
  如果喜歡家人朋友有獨立空間的話~這間住宿還蠻不錯的
  住宿地方蠻方便離木津市場、道頓堀、黑門市場皆在7-10分鐘內能走到
  退房後也能免費寄放行李(在限定時間內)
  洗澡熱水也很足夠，泡澡的浴缸也還蠻方便的

  浴室的熱水，隨時開就馬上有不用等，恆溫可調整泡澡很舒服，地理位置很好走路10分鐘內就可以到難波站，附近也有很多居酒屋跟商店，便利性極高。
