Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about ORANGE Inn? The name made me expect some kitschy themed place, but it’s actually got this understated charm that grows on you. Tucked away in Tengachaya – and I mean really tucked away, down a quiet side street that you’d probably walk past twice before finding it – this little 4-star spot feels like stumbling onto a well-kept secret. The Nishinari ward isn’t exactly where most tourists plant their flag, but honestly, that’s part of what makes staying here interesting. You’re in real Osaka, not the polished version.

The rooms have this clean, minimalist thing going on that feels very Japanese without being overly traditional. I appreciated the attention to small details – the lighting is actually decent for reading (hotel lighting drives me crazy usually), and the beds are firm in that way that somehow works better than you’d expect. The staff speaks enough English to get by, though you’ll definitely want your translation app handy for anything beyond the basics. What really sold me was the breakfast situation – they do this spread that mixes Japanese and Western options, and the coffee is surprisingly good. Not third-wave café good, but way better than the bitter swill most hotels serve. The dining area gets this lovely morning light that makes even jet-lagged me feel somewhat human.

Here’s the thing about the location though – Tengachaya station is literally a few minutes’ walk away, which means you can hop on the Nankai line and be in Namba in about ten minutes, or catch the subway and explore anywhere else. The neighborhood itself is sort of wonderfully ordinary – there’s a Family Mart right around the corner (essential for late-night snack runs), some local restaurants that close early but serve incredible food, and this general sense that you’re seeing how people actually live here. It gets pretty quiet at night, which was perfect for sleeping off the travel exhaustion. The 8.5 rating makes sense once you realize this isn’t trying to be flashy – it’s just doing the fundamentals really well. The check-in was smooth, the room was spotless, and I never felt like I was being nickeled and dimed for basic stuff. If you’re the type who needs to be in the thick of tourist central, this might feel too removed, but if you want a solid base for exploring Osaka without paying Dotonbori prices, ORANGE Inn hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  Reasonable Price with promotional to make great budget. Good for family and close friends to stay together, as it is big enough for 10 pax. It is a house having all amenities provided for cooking and washing. Well prepared on amenities. Host is nice as helping to answer all the questions even some request might not be able to achieved in support like luggage deposit.
  
  What could be improved: A bit far from train station, esp the subway & metro line. No dryer, just washer. You need to dry cloth by hanging outdoor balcony. 1 restroom and 1 bathroom would not be enough for people more than 5 pax. Towel quality is not good, even clean but it feel rough & tough. Cannot deposit luggage before check in or check out. For short stay and 1st time visitor, it seems a bit hard to find the place and too tired to travel to city center.

  出门走了500米就到地铁了地铁旁边还有一个超市，服务人员很亲切，我们听不懂日语还拿出翻译软件和我们耐心交流，深深感受到了日本民族的热情好客，门口有便利店和公交车站，交通十分便利，民宿也不难找，直接通过Google map里的导航和老板提供的地址直接搜到的，这趟说走就走的旅程我们感觉很愉快。

  お値段の割に広かったので、とても驚いた。
  部屋も写真と同じくモダンで清潔だった。
  使用しなかったが、調理器具やお皿なども完備してあり、長期滞在しやすいと感じた。
  パーキングやコンビニが近くにあり、
  便利だった。
  民泊が初めてだったので、不安だったが、期待以上で感謝しています。
  
  What could be improved: 1.シンクが不潔で、ゴミ箱にもゴミが残っていた事が残念だった。
  2.洗濯洗剤の蓋が開いたまま床の隅に置いてあり、生活感があって不快だった。
  3.オーナーの電話にかけたら、中国大陸在住の見知らぬ人にかかり、怖かった。
  4.2階のテレビが見られなかった。
