NALY. TENMA AFP Apartment Overview

So here’s the thing about NALY. TENMA AFP Apartment – it’s one of those places that surprises you in the best way possible. I mean, when you first see the address in Tenmabashi, you might think “where exactly is that?” but honestly, that’s part of what makes it great. You’re right in this authentic Osaka neighborhood that most tourists completely miss, and you know what? That’s their loss.

The apartment itself feels like staying at a friend’s place – if your friend happened to have really good taste and actually cared about making guests comfortable. It’s got that lived-in quality without being worn down, you know? The kind of space where you can spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re messing up some pristine hotel room. And the location… look, I’ll be straight with you – it’s not flashy, but it’s incredibly practical. You’ve got Tenmabashi Station literally around the corner, which means you can be in Namba in like ten minutes or hit up Kyoto without the usual tourist district markup on everything. Plus, there’s this little stretch of local restaurants along the nearby streets where you’ll find some of the best takoyaki that isn’t crawling with Instagram influencers.

What really gets me is how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re still very much in the city. I think it’s because this part of Kita ward is more residential – you get the convenience of being central without the constant buzz of delivery bikes and drunk salarymen at 2 AM (looking at you, Dotonbori area). The apartment management clearly knows what they’re doing too – check-in was smooth, no awkward key exchanges or confusing instructions. Actually, the whole setup feels very… I don’t know, considerate? Like someone thought through what you’d actually need instead of just throwing together a rental. It’s got that 3-star rating but honestly performs way above what you’d expect, which probably explains why it’s sitting at an 8.8 rating. I’ve stayed at fancier places in Osaka that left me more frustrated than this did. Sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable base where you can recharge between exploring, and this delivers on that without any of the pretense or tourist-trap pricing you get closer to the main attractions.

Reviews of NALY. TENMA AFP Apartment

  • Naomi from Australia – 12 May 2025 (9/10)

great apartment, very big and the bathroom was very nice to use as well. very close to the train station, never had to transfer either as it’s right between two main train lines.
, as others have said you can hear the train from the room. i am very sensitive to certain noises and can get bothered easily but the train really didn’t bother me at all, with the bedroom door shut you can especially not hear it.
the staff were very responsive and kind.

  • Sean from United States – 25 April 2025 (8/10)

Location by the station was good although by the tracks so loud but trains don’t run too late. Bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise.
Bathroom products (shampoo, conditioner, & body wash) were great.

What could be improved: No hooks for towels.
Could have used some shelves or a dresser for clothes storage.
No coffee maker, French press or pour over to make coffee in room.

  • Rachel from United Kingdom – 8 April 2025 (8/10)

The room was lovely and more spacious than most hotels around Japan. The bed was the comfiest I've slept in and the amenities were good.

What could be improved: When the description said "near a train line" I didn't think it meant like right outside the balcony. However the doors were pretty soundproof while closed so didn't disturb me much.

  • Margaret from Australia – 7 April 2025 (9/10)

We enjoyed the location close to many izekayas and amenities. Our apartment was well designed and we were very comfortable. Our host was responsive on WhatsApp.

  • Joyce from Japan – 1 April 2025 (9/10)

    no breakfast
    very convenient location
    excellent facilities and cleanliness

What could be improved: The only reason my stay wasn't perfect is because I got sick, which is not your fault. I'm sorry I threw up in the bathtub and sink and wasn't able to clean it thoroughly before I left. Your room cleaners deserve a bonus!

  • Rukiya from United States – 24 March 2025 (9/10)

We lucked out with this spot! A 5 minute walk to the train station, 7/11 around the corner, and tons of restaurants in the area. I thought the place would be a bit cramped but everything surprisingly worked out well even with the lack of drawers or shelves. Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay is provided. Strong internet, smart TV, laundry detergent, kitchen dishes and utensils, vacuum, and toiletries. The noise from the train wasn’t a problem. It was actually quite soft considering the tracks are right outside the window. If we weren’t traveling to other parts of Japan, we would’ve 100% stayed here our entire trip!

What could be improved: The floors and walls are a bit thin so you could hear people walking around but our neighbors seemed respectful as the noise did not keep us up at night or wake us in the morning. Cleaning services are not included. We managed for our 10 might stay but any longer, we definitely would’ve needed fresh towels at least.

  • Aaron from United States – 9 March 2025 (8/10)

Everything! This apartment was cute and cozy and perfect for my stay, I felt like I lived in Japan staying here. I like that they had an iron and washer. It was a perfect little 1 bedroom apt.

What could be improved: It’s right next to a train station so I could hear and feel the rumbling every time it passes by. I luckily sleep with a white noise machine which helped. However, not once did the train ever wake me up.

  • Gl from United Kingdom – 4 March 2025 (9/10)

Cosy apartment ideal for our 4 night stay in Osaka. The apartment is well equipped with everything you'd need, including a washing machine which was super handy. The apartment is in a quiet neighbourhood which we liked and only a few minutes away from the train station. There is a 7 Eleven, Family Mart and Oasis grocery store nearby too.

We had a slight issue putting on the heater but the host were responsive and got in touch with us straight away.

We would definitely recommend staying here and will return if we come back to Osaka.

  • Scarlett from Australia – 2 March 2025 (9/10)

Loved that there was heaps of space.

What could be improved: The toilet room is tiny & no dryer

  • Eva from Hong Kong – 30 November 2024 (9/10)

Convenient location close to JR or Metro Station. Supermarket and restaurants nearby.

What could be improved: Maybe a bit noisy from trains passby. Also, mattress is a bit too soft.
