I mean, when you’re walking down that quiet stretch of Sakuragawa – it’s honestly one of those neighborhoods where you hear more bicycle bells than car horns – this place just fits right into the residential vibe without trying too hard.

The thing about staying here is you’re getting that authentic Osaka experience without the tourist circus. Sakuragawa station is literally a few minutes’ walk, which honestly makes it dead simple to hop on the Sennichimae Line and be in Namba in what, six minutes? But here’s what I really appreciated – when you come back at night, you’re not fighting through crowds of drunk salarymen or dodging tour groups. It’s just… normal neighborhood life. There’s this little convenience store right around the corner where the owner actually remembers your face after a couple days, and I swear the onigiri there hits different than the ones in the busier areas.

The hotel itself is solid three-star territory – clean, functional, no surprises either way. The rooms are typically Japanese compact, but they’ve thought about the details that matter. Good water pressure (seriously, after a day of walking around Osaka Castle, this isn’t negotiable), decent Wi-Fi that actually reaches the corners of the room, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train. I’ve stayed in fancier places in Umeda where I couldn’t sleep because of the AC unit. The staff at check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly formal routine that makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing everyone just by existing. They gave me actual useful directions to the nearby tempura place instead of just pointing at a map.

What really won me over though was the morning routine. You step outside and there’s this bakery – I think it opens around 7 AM – where locals are already lining up for melon pan. The smell just drifts down the street, and suddenly you’re not just another tourist staying in a hotel, you’re part of this little morning ritual. Walking to the station, you’ll pass the same few people heading to work, maybe nod at the guy watering plants outside his shop. It’s that kind of neighborhood where you actually feel like you’re living in Osaka for a few days instead of just passing through.

Look, if you want marble lobbies and concierge services, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to wake up in a real part of the city where you can grab excellent street food (there’s this takoyaki cart that sets up near the station around 5 PM – don’t ask me how I found it three nights in a row), then catch the train to wherever the day takes you, MS59 COMFORT actually delivers on something most hotels just talk about. You’re staying somewhere that feels connected to the city instead of insulated from it, and honestly? That’s worth way more than thread count or fancy soap.

  The location is great, next to subway station and there's a 7eleven around the corner. Price was okay
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is right next to highway. Noisy cars speeding the whole nights long. We couldn't sleep. Also early traffic can be loud therefore our kid woke up early.

  The location is perfect and close to the station. Shops and restaurants are all nearby. The apartment is nice, equipped with all the required, 2 bedrooms with 4 king size beds, kitchen with everything that you might need, including microwave. The dining area is tiny and for a big company it might be challenging to accommodate all the people.
  
  What could be improved: Perhaps, it was just our issue but we faced difficulties with hot water in the bathroom, specifically in the shower. The tap was not easy to adjust and if for the first person taking a shower all was fine, for the rest of the group water was cold. The balcony needs cleaning and we had to dry laundry inside
