Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Osaka, but this penthouse situation in Dotonbori actually caught me off guard in the best way. You know how most accommodations in this area are either cramped business hotels or touristy spots that feel sterile? Well, KONJAKUSO’s “YORIAI” penthouse is something else entirely – it’s tucked into the Handa Building on floors 2-3, which honestly doesn’t sound impressive until you get up there and realize you’ve got this sprawling space right in the heart of the madness.

The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be where everything’s happening. I mean, you’re literally steps from the Glico running man sign and all that neon chaos, but here’s the thing – once you’re inside, it’s surprisingly quiet. The building sort of buffers you from the street noise, though you’ll still hear the occasional drunk salaryman stumbling past around 2 AM (comes with the territory). What I really loved is that you can walk to Kuromon Ichiba Market in about ten minutes for proper breakfast – none of that hotel continental stuff – and you’re close enough to Namba Station that getting anywhere in the city is easy. The check-in process was smooth, though finding the actual entrance took me a minute since it’s tucked between some restaurants on that block.

The penthouse itself feels way more spacious than you’d expect for central Osaka. There’s this sort of modern Japanese aesthetic going on without being too precious about it – clean lines, good lighting, and actually comfortable furniture you’d want to hang out on after walking around the city all day. The kitchen setup is legit too, which matters if you want to grab some amazing ingredients from Kuromon or Dotonbori’s food stalls and not feel like you’re eating convenience store meals every night. Honestly, the whole vibe reminds me more of staying at a friend’s really nice apartment than a typical hotel experience. The rating of 9.2 makes sense when you consider you’re getting penthouse space, prime location, and that local-living feel without the premium price tag you’d pay at the big international chains. I’d definitely come back, especially if I was traveling with a group since there’s actually room to spread out and not trip over each other’s luggage.

  very spacious and a GREAT location. plenty of fresh towels, comfortable beds, and a huge living area. the two showers were amazing. we enjoyed our stay her so much and would happily return. proximity to Dotonbori was excellent, but the street was quiet so very little noise at night. this was one of the best places I have stayed with our large family. highly recommended. thanks Konjakuso!

  1.位置絕佳,出門口右轉,左手邊就看到黑門市場,離道頓堀也超近,左右兩邊各有一家全家,日本橋站大概一百公尺!如果你是開車的旅客,附近的停車場好幾個,重點是停車費,我晚上七點停到早上八九點出門,大概是2600日幣!!
  2.住宿的空間非常大,床墊很舒服,挺好睡的,被子的品質也很好,每個空間幾乎都有單獨的懸吊式空調冷暖氣,非常舒服!
  廚房的設備相當齊全,冰箱內的酒可以自行取用,每天可以自行烹調,小缺點是沒有油跟鹽巴!
  3.衛浴:樓下兩間浴室,水量強勁充沛,熱水可調溫,洗起來很舒服.有兩個洗手盆可以提供化妝梳洗,可同時多人使用.
  4.樓上有五間房間,樓上樓下各有一間廁所!
  5.廚房跟梳妝台的洗臉盆都有熱水,在寒冷的冬先梳洗跟洗碗是很愜意的事情!
  
  What could be improved: 沒有電梯,搬運行李拿到2樓很辛苦,離開的時候搬下來更痛苦!因為變重了…
  二樓是生活區,三樓是住宿區,要拿東西上上下下的時候很累,二樓是木頭裝潢跟榻榻米,走路起來稍有聲響,但不至於影響到他人!
  客廳的沙發有點塌.坐久了會往下滑
