Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a place with such a ridiculously long name, but Kanau turned out to be one of those hidden gems that makes you feel like you’ve cracked some local code. The whole house rental sits tucked away in Minato-ku’s Ichioka area – you know, that part of Osaka where actual residents live instead of just tourists stumbling around with maps.

The two-minute walk from the station thing? Actually legit, which was a relief after dealing with some “conveniently located” places that require a sherpa guide to find. What really surprised me was how quiet the neighborhood gets once you’re off the main drag. I mean, you’re still in Osaka, so there’s always some urban hum, but it’s more like gentle background noise than the usual city chaos. The house itself feels authentically Japanese without being overly traditional – sort of like staying at a friend’s place if your friend happened to have really good taste and a parking spot (which, let’s be honest, is basically winning the lottery in Osaka).

The whole setup works especially well if you’re traveling with a group because you actually get space to breathe. I’ve done the cramped hotel room thing with friends before, and somebody always ends up sleeping on the floor or having a meltdown over bathroom schedules. Here, people can spread out, cook actual meals instead of surviving on konbini food, and – this might sound weird – but you can have normal conversations without whispering because you’re worried about paper-thin walls. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, not just some sad hot plate situation. The USJ access they mention is legit useful if you’re planning theme park days, though honestly, having easy train connections to Namba and Umeda matters more for most trips. You’re looking at maybe 15 minutes door-to-door to hit the main entertainment districts, which beats staying in some overpriced hotel right in the thick of things where you can’t escape the crowds.

What really sold me on this place was the parking – I know that sounds boring, but if you’re planning any day trips outside the city or just want the freedom to explore without being tied to train schedules, having a guaranteed spot is huge. Plus, the host actually responds to messages, which shouldn’t be remarkable but somehow is these days. The 9.4 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s not trying to be fancy, just genuinely functional and comfortable. The kind of place where you might actually get some decent sleep and wake up feeling like you can tackle another day of Osaka adventures instead of just surviving them.

  Was in a very convenient location. Close to shops, train station and plenty of convenience stores. Was located in a quiet side street that was easy to find. Property was clean, cozy and very homely. Communication was great.
  
  What could be improved: Stairs were very steep. So just be aware if you have anyone on your party that might struggle with stairs. Beds were thinner than expected.

  The house is super clean and neat! 3 story house and we own the house during the stay. Very spacious enough for 3 family ! Location is just 5 minutes away from bentencho station.
  
  What could be improved: The property has stairs so be extra careful for elders and toddlers.

  What could be improved: 駅や大きな道路が近いため夜中にバイクや救急車が通ると少し音が気になるが、子ども達は起きる事なく寝ていたので寝てしまえば気にならないかも

  立地は最高です。万博とユニバに行くのにとても便利な立地でした。ユニバへは乗換が心配でしたが、乗換は降りたホームから移動せず、すぐ反対側へ乗れば良く、乗換も楽でした。
  宿泊前からとても親切なメッセージを頂き、当日朝早く到着することを伝えると、周りの駐車場情報をいっぱい教えて頂きとても助かりました。食洗機、洗濯機には洗剤がそれぞれあり良かったです。コップ等の食器やお皿もあり良かったです。駐車場も付きで駐車場代等の心配する必要がないのがとても良いです。
  冷蔵庫も大きく、冷凍庫も宿泊期間に使うには十分な大きさで良かったです。
  お風呂は大きくて、歩き疲れた体にはとても助かりました。
  ハンガーが多く、浴室乾燥機もあり、洗濯物もいっぱい干せて良かったです。
  
  What could be improved: 良くない点はありません。洗濯籠が4人分を洗濯した物を入れると強度が少し心配で抱えて2階まで干しに持っていったぐらいですがあまり気になりません。あとは、写真から分かっていたことですが、駐車場がワンボックスには、前の道が狭いのと、少し小さいので、駐車するのに注意する必要があります。ネットのマップで前の道の狭さは確認した方が良いです。

  •駅まで近い
  •お部屋の中は広々としていて清潔感があり、掃除もきちんと行き届いていた
  •必要なものは大体揃っていたので、その分持ち込む　　荷物が少なく済んだ

  •駅から近い分電車の音（特に夜）が割と気になった
  •階段が急、リビングの床が滑りやすい
  •レースカーテンが無かったので、外からの視線が気になりカーテンが開けられなかった
  テレビ横の窓だけでもレースカーテンがあれば良かった
  
  たくさん書いてしまいましたが、総合的にな大変満足です。
  足りないものがありオーナーさんに連絡した時もすぐに対応していただけましたし、メッセージのやり取りもスムーズでした。
  また大阪へ行く際はぜひ利用したいと思います。

  すごく清潔感があり良かったです。
  宿泊先からユニバへ電車で行きましたが分かりやすく簡単でした。
  ユニバでヘトヘトになるまで遊びましたが、ゆっくりと浴槽のあるお風呂に入り旅の疲れを癒やせて良かったです。シャワーだけの物件が多いなか、こちらを選ばせてもらって良かったです。
