You know, I’ve walked past It’ta de LYCKA probably a dozen times before I actually stayed there – it sits on this quiet stretch in Tennoji-ku that most tourists completely miss. The name threw me off at first (it’s Swedish for “the happiness,” which honestly seemed random for Osaka), but once you step inside, you get it. There’s this immediate sense of calm that hits you, like someone actually thought about how a space should feel instead of just look.

The thing about this area is that you’re genuinely in a local neighborhood – not the sanitized tourist version of local, but actual local. You’ll hear the morning chatter from the convenience store across the street, and there’s this incredible takoyaki stand about two blocks down that the hotel staff quietly mentioned during check-in. I mean, they didn’t make a big deal about it, just sort of said “oh, if you get hungry later…” but it turned out to be some of the best I had in the city. The location puts you close enough to Shinsekai that you can walk there in about fifteen minutes, but far enough that you escape the crowds when you want to decompress. Actually, that’s probably what impressed me most – how they managed to create this peaceful bubble while keeping you connected to everything that makes Osaka worth visiting.

What really sold me on the place was the attention to small things that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The walls are thick enough that you don’t hear every conversation in the hallway, the shower pressure is legitimately good (not just “good for Japan”), and they’ve got these reading lights positioned where you can actually use them without disturbing whoever you’re traveling with. The staff genuinely seems to enjoy helping people figure out the city – not in that rehearsed concierge way, but like they’re sharing their own neighborhood. During my stay, the front desk guy spent probably twenty minutes drawing me a map to this ceramics district I’d mentioned wanting to explore, including which train car to get on so I’d exit closest to the shops. It’s that kind of place. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with some flashy lobby or rooftop infinity pool, but after a long day of navigating crowds and trying to communicate in broken Japanese, you’ll appreciate coming back somewhere that just works smoothly and feels like a refuge rather than another tourist experience to manage.

  The property was very modern and spic and span. Everything we need is there and more. The beds were comfortable for our whole family and it’s even at the very heart of Osaka.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing. Everything about this property was great. Will definitely choose to stay here again when we come back to Osaka.

  環境很舒適，設備齊全，乾淨，洗衣機有烘衣功能，很方便，睡房也很舒適，我們感到很滿意。
  
  What could be improved: 住宿非常滿意，唯獨住宿位置街道比較窄，開車要特別留意。我們開車找了很久才找到，建議自駕人士出發前確認一下地點位置，會比較好。

  4명이서 숙박했는데 퀸침대가 4개나 있어서 여행 후 휴식하기 좋았습니다. 3층에 방 1개에 침대가 2개씩 있었고 짧은 복도가 있고 미닫이문으로 공간이 구분되어 있으나 가까워서 소통하기 좋았습니다.3층에도 화장실이 있어 2층까지 내려가지 않아도 되서 편했습니다. 2층에 거실과 주방이 있고 각종 전자제품 및 식기들이 구비되어있어서 요리하거나 데워먹기도 좋았습니다. 식탁도 넓어서 앉아서 마무리하기 좋았습니다.1층에 다다미방에는 두툼한 패드가 있어서 일행이 많더라도 충분히 머무를 수 있을 것 같습니다. 1층에 욕실에는 넓은 욕조가 있어서 여행 후 피로를 풀 수 있었고 천장에 히터가 있어 샤워후에도 춥지않게 나올 수 있었습니다.욕실 밖에 세탁기가 있었는데 세탁과 건조가 한번에 되는 제품 하루 일정을 마무리한 후 옷가지들을 세탁하기 좋았습니다. 호텔은 좁아서 이 숙소로 결정하게 되었는데 이정도 가격에 이렇게 넓은 숙소를 사용할 수 있어서 좋았습니다. 근처에 큰 세븐일레븐도 있어서 좋습니다.
  
  What could be improved: 3층짜리 구조로 계단이 가파르고 좁기 때문에 어린 아이나 고령의 어르신은 이용하기 힘들 것 같았고 캐리어를 들고 올라가기에도 조금 어려웠습니다.화장실은 2개이나 욕실은 1개라서 다수의 사람이 같이 숙박한다면 씻고 나오는데 오래 걸릴 것 같습니다.세탁기가 있어 세탁이 가능하지만 수건이 인당 핸드타올 1개 큰타올 1개라서 2박이상의 숙박시에는 수건을 추가로 챙기시거나 매일 세탁해야하는 번거로움이 있을 것 같습니다.저는 3박4일인데 수건이 없어서 계속 세탁해야했습니다.수건을 추가로 더 비치하면 더 좋을 것 같습니다. 세탁기 사용법을 비치하면 더 좋을 것 같습니다. 위치는 덴가차야역에서 가까운 편은 아니듯하고 좀 걸어야하지만 그래도 동네라서 조용합니다.집 바로 옆에 기찻길이 있어 소음이 꽤나 심합니다.예민하신 분이라면 놀랄 수 있을 것 같습니다.
