The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but incredibly well-designed, which is exactly what you want from a three-star hotel in Japan. Everything has its place, and somehow they’ve managed to make a smaller space feel comfortable rather than cramped. The bed was surprisingly good — firm but not hard, and the linens felt quality. What I really appreciated was the attention to lighting; they’ve got different options for different times of day, which sounds minor but makes a huge difference when you’re dealing with jet lag.

The breakfast buffet is where this place really shows its personality. It’s not huge, but they’ve clearly put thought into offering both Western and Japanese options that actually taste good. The coffee was actually decent, which isn’t always a given at Japanese hotels. The restaurant area itself is bright and comfortable, with big windows that let you watch the city wake up.

  Hotel is in a nice location, a short train ride to Dotonbori and Osaka Castle. I liked getting away from the crowds to this quiet little oasis. The room was clean and comfortable — and for the price, I was suprised at how nice the room was compared to other hotels I stayed at. The staff, including the chef, were helpful and friendly. The breakfast wasn't bad either. Pro tip: there a few great ramen spots in walking distance.
