So here’s the thing about d3 HOTEL gallery2 – it’s tucked away in Fukushima-ku’s Ebie district, which honestly caught me off guard at first because you’re not exactly in the thick of tourist central. But you know what? That turned out to be kind of perfect. You’re close enough to catch the JR loop line without dealing with the madness of staying right in Namba or Dotonbori, and I actually appreciated having a quieter base after long days of temple-hopping and street food hunting.

The hotel itself has this whole contemporary art vibe going on – I mean, it’s literally called “gallery2” so they’re not being subtle about it. The lobby feels more like walking into a modern art installation than your typical business hotel, with rotating exhibitions and these really striking light fixtures that photograph way better than they should. My room was compact but thoughtfully designed, and honestly, the bed was fantastic. Sometimes these boutique places sacrifice comfort for style, but they nailed both here. The bathroom had one of those deep Japanese soaking tubs that I definitely took advantage of after walking fifteen thousand steps through Osaka Castle grounds. What really impressed me though was how quiet everything was – you’d never guess you’re in a city of 2.7 million people. The soundproofing is legit, which is something I always worry about in urban hotels.

Location-wise, you’re about a ten-minute walk to Noda Station, and from there it’s stupid easy to get anywhere in Osaka or even day-trip to Kyoto. There’s a Family Mart basically next door (essential for late-night snack runs), and this little ramen shop called Menya Takemura about two blocks away that locals actually eat at – not the touristy spots everyone talks about online. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure guests had what they needed, and their English was solid enough for any practical conversations. Check-in was smooth, they held my luggage before my room was ready, all that good stuff. I stayed here in late spring and the rates were reasonable for what you get – way better value than the cookie-cutter chains in busier areas. The 8.7 rating makes total sense to me; it’s the kind of place that does the fundamentals really well while adding just enough personality to feel special. If you want to experience Osaka like less of a tourist and more like someone who actually lives there, this spot delivers on that vibe without making you sacrifice comfort or convenience.

  The rooms were spacious unlike Japan regular rooms. The facility was well equipped and beautiful.

  Interesting and fun art all over the hotel. Helpful staff that met us for check in. Good wardrobe sizes in the bedrooms, which was helpful for all the luggage our party of ten had! Spacious bathroom and full size fridge. It is quite close to the Nodahanshin station, a small mall and 7/11 is less than 50 meters away. 24 hour laundry downstairs also. The apartment/hotel has plenty of space. We didn't feel cramped!
  
  What could be improved: We were lucky to have booked out all the floors of the hotel. However the pictures don't make it completely clear for level two that it is technically seperated by a shared landing/foyer (Bathroom, kitchen, dining, lounge, and two double beds on one side, then the other two bedrooms, toilet and shower on the other side) . If another group were staying on level three, you would need to make sure you were locking the doors between the two parts level two which may not be suitable with families that have small children. It was fine for us though, when we were onsite we left all doors open.

  The boutique-style hotel had a very modern look to it, which I enjoyed. It integrated cool art pieces that gave it a hip vibe. It was conveniently located near stores and the train station.
  
  What could be improved: The floor plan of how the rooms laid out was a bit awkward. The two rooms we were occupying were separated by a community area where anyone who was staying had access to. Originally I thought the two rooms would be together. And if someone is staying above you, sound travels pretty easily through the ceiling.

  各部屋とても清潔感があること、クーラーが設置されていること。
  トイレ、お風呂が２つあること。
  寝室が分かれていること。（自分だけの空間を作ることが出来て良かったです、やっぱり友達と居ると多少は気を張ってしまいますからね…）

  직원분이 친절하게 대해주셨고, 시설관련 DM도 바로바로 확인해주셔서 조치해주셨던 점도 좋았어요. 3층에 다른 투숙객이 없어서 편했지만 만약 다른 투숙객이 있었으면 방과 현관이 이어져있는 형태라 조금 불편했을 수도 있었을 것 같네요.
  그래도 숙소가 넓고, 침대도 많이 구비되어있어서 시설적으로는 아주 편했습니다. 따뜻한 물도 잘 나왔고, 욕조의 목욕물 온도를 일정하게 유지해주는 보일러였어서 오래 목욕해도 따뜻한 목욕을 즐길 수 있어서 좋았네요.
  건물 바로 앞에 크지는 않아도 편의점이 있어서 간식거리를 살 때 편했고, 도보 5분거리 위치인 노다한신역이 센니치마에선 종점이라서 오사카 메트로를 이용해 다른 지역으로 이동할 때 편하게 앉아서 이동할 수 있었던 점도 좋았네요.
  
  What could be improved: 방이 단열이 조금 아쉬웠습니다. 에어컨 설비가 잘 되어있어 온도 조절에 조금만 신경쓰면 되는 부분이지만, 취침예약으로 1시간동안 작동시키고 꺼지게 설정했더니 아침에 일어났을 때 조금 추웠어요.
  1층에 셀프세탁소가 붙어있어서 다른 사람들이 세탁기를 돌리는 소리가 나는 경우가 있었습니다. 크게 문제될 건 없지만 소리에 예민한 사람은 신경이 쓰일 수 있을 것 같아요.

  施設内はとても綺麗でした。
  また置いてある絵やオブジェがとてもオシャレでそれだけで楽しい気分になります。ベッドルームが２つにリビング隔ててもう一つ。明るい感じのお部屋でとても良かったです。トイレも２つバスルームとシャワールームと２つあり大人数使うにもとても便利でした。
  またたこ焼きなどの貸し出しもありとても楽しめました！
