Couples seem to get this balance particularly well, and I can see why they rate the location so highly. You’ve got subway stations within walking distance, and honestly, that makes all the difference when you’re trying to explore the city efficiently.

The Room Experience

The room design strikes that sweet spot between international hotel standards and subtle Japanese touches. Everything feels premium — the bedding, the bathroom fixtures, the way natural light fills the space during the day. What really impressed me was the attention to detail in the layout; there’s actually space to unpack and settle in, which you don’t always get even in upscale hotels. The views vary depending on which floor you’re on, but even the city-facing rooms give you a nice sense of Osaka’s urban rhythm.

Dining and Amenities

The breakfast buffet deserves a mention — it’s one of those spreads that manages to satisfy both international tastes and local preferences without feeling like it’s trying too hard. You know what surprised me though? The public bath. It’s not something you’d necessarily expect from a Marriott property, but it adds this wonderful Japanese element to the experience. After a long day of walking around Osaka Castle or shopping in Shinsaibashi, soaking in that bath feels like exactly what you need. The on-site restaurant handles dinner well too, though with Osaka’s incredible food scene right outside, you’ll probably want to venture out most evenings.

  Courtyard by Marriott Osaka was hands down the best hotel we stayed at during our entire trip. Marriott properties always impress us, but this one really outdid itself. The room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was especially spacious and clean – such a treat after long days of exploring!
  
  The hotel facilities were top-notch, and the breakfast was both reasonably priced and absolutely delicious with plenty of variety. The staff were exceptionally kind, professional, and always ready to assist with anything we needed.
  
  Every time we stay at a Marriott, it reminds us why we keep coming back – they set the standard so high that everywhere else just pales in comparison.

  Location was great for walking, shopping, food varieties and restaurants, the dotonbori area especially, proximity to subway stations.
  
  What could be improved: It seems endemic in the mid range hotel rooms ….. only hanging space available in rooms…. nowhere drawers. So had to live out of the suitcase a little.

  Very convenient location, close to metro ( green line to EXPO 2025), plenty of breakfast places, restaurants ans shopping nearby. Very kind and service minded English speaking staff. The hotels public bath is superb with an outdoor pool. Spacious, very comfortable, modern and nice designed rooms.

  The location was okay. A subway station was right outside the hotel. It was a 10 minute drive to the nightlife centre of Osaka.
  
  What could be improved: I would have preferred a location closer to the night life and shopping area.

  Location: Close to the station entrance but do note that only accessible by stairs. Otherwise the other station has lift but entrance is about 500m away.

  Hotel room size was decent. Had sufficient space for 2 big luggages. Toilet was spacious.
  Rooms are not carpeted so great for those who are sensitive to dust.
  
  What could be improved: Breakfast was on the expensive side thus did not opt for it. Though if you request for it one day earlier, you will have a discount.
  
  Washing machine and dryer facilities were ok. But the dryers were not very good. Had to put a longer duration to get clothes dried vs a normal laundromat
