There’s this little convenience store right around the corner that becomes your best friend, and honestly some of the best cheap eats in the city are within a few blocks. I stumbled onto this tiny yakitori place that doesn’t even have a proper sign – just follow the smoke and the laughter spilling onto the street around 7 PM. The hotel staff actually gave me a hand-drawn map with spots like that marked on it, which is the kind of touch that makes you remember a place. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with a rooftop pool or marble everything, but if you want to experience Osaka like someone who actually lives here rather than just Instagram-ing it, CityRevillas-A gets you there. Plus the value is solid – I’ve paid twice as much for half the character in other cities.
