You know what caught me off guard about Casa Stella 3 Sagittarius? The name sounds way more complicated than the actual experience. I mean, I was expecting some sort of cosmic-themed place based on the “Sagittarius” part, but honestly it’s just a solid, unpretentious spot in Nishikujo that gets the job done really well. The location is actually perfect if you’re trying to avoid the tourist madness but still want decent train connections – you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Nishikujo Station, which puts you on the JR loop line without dealing with the crowds at major stops like Osaka or Namba.

The thing about this area is that it feels properly local. You’ll wake up to the sound of the morning train announcements (which I actually found oddly comforting after the first night), and there’s this little convenience store right around the corner where the staff started recognizing me after day two. The rooms themselves are clean and functional – not Instagram-worthy or anything, but the beds are surprisingly comfortable and the air conditioning actually works, which you can’t take for granted in some of these smaller places. I appreciated that they didn’t try to cram too much into the space; there’s room to actually open your suitcase without performing gymnastics. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, and the water pressure is decent, though it takes a minute to heat up in the mornings.

What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being near the train line. I was worried about noise, but the windows do their job, and honestly the neighborhood settles down pretty early anyway. The front desk staff speaks enough English to handle check-in smoothly, and they’re genuinely helpful with directions – not just the scripted tourist spots, but actual useful stuff like where to find a decent breakfast or which train car to board for easier connections. The area around Nishikujo isn’t exactly scenic, but it’s got character, and you’re close enough to walk to some interesting spots along the river if you’re into that. Plus, you can get to Osaka Castle or the Dotonbori area in about 15-20 minutes by train, which beats paying twice as much to stay right in the thick of things. For a 3-star place, Casa Stella really delivers on being a comfortable base without any pretense – sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  寝室が3部屋あり、ベッド数も多く使い勝手がとても良かったです。設備(コップやタオル等)も清潔で充分に用意してあり安心して使用できました。高齢の両親との家族旅行だったのでリビングに集まって団欒ができるのもありがたく、家に居るようなリラックスして楽しめました。本当に清潔で設備もよく大変満足しています。また大阪へ行く際は利用させて頂きたいです。
  
  What could be improved: 通常のテレビが見れずTverから見るようになっていたのが残念でした。
  高齢の両親にはTver等の使い方がよくわからなかったり、ニュース番組が多くないので繰り返し同じものになってしまうのが残念でした。
  あとお風呂場と脱衣所の段差が高過ぎるので、踏み台があると嬉しいなと思いました。

  駅近く立地最高（USJや大阪観光）
  ベッド布団清潔で快適
  一階の和室も綺麗
  食器類もあり、自炊まではしませんでしたが、持ち込んで食べるとき便利でした。
  
  What could be improved: 浴槽の排水栓が壊れてて（簡易のゴム栓あり）湯がたまらず。銭湯行けば問題なし。浴室は乾燥が使えて良かった。
