Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Osaka, but Apartment Hotel 11 Shinsaibashi 3 actually surprised me – and honestly, that 9.1 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen. The moment you step off Higashishinsaibashi street into this place, you get why it works so well. It’s tucked away just enough that you’re not dealing with the constant chaos of central Shinsaibashi, but you’re literally a three-minute walk from all the madness when you want it. I mean, you can practically hear the Don Quijote jingle from your window, but somehow it doesn’t feel overwhelming.
What really got me was how they’ve nailed the apartment-hotel thing without making it feel like you’re staying in someone’s leftover corporate housing. The spaces actually feel lived-in and thoughtful – you know what I mean? Like, there’s proper counter space in the kitchenette (not just some sad mini-fridge situation), and the bathroom has that deep Japanese tub that’s perfect after walking around Dotonbori all day. The staff gets that you’re not looking for constant hotel service, but when you need something, they’re on it. Check-in was smooth, no weird timing restrictions, and they actually know the neighborhood well enough to give you real recommendations, not just the tourist traps everyone hits.
Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re there – you’re positioned perfectly between the shopping insanity of Shinsaibashi-suji and the food paradise of Dotonbori, but you can also duck into those narrow side streets where locals actually eat. There’s this tiny ramen place about two blocks east that I never would’ve found if I’d stayed in one of those big international hotels. The area gets pretty quiet after midnight (well, quiet for Osaka), so you can actually sleep, but step outside and you’re back in the thick of it. Honestly, for the price point and the fact that you get actual space to spread out, it’s sort of a no-brainer if you want to feel less like a tourist and more like you’re actually experiencing the city. Just don’t expect a concierge desk or room service – this is about having your own little base camp in one of Japan’s best neighborhoods.

Location is quite near Shinsaibashi shopping area and 3min walk to the nearest subway station. It's quiet despite being near the major roads. The room is spacious with balcony and comfortable too. The kitchen has sufficient cookware and dinnerware cleaning materials trash bag etc. Highly recommended.
What could be improved: I don't like that it is a self check-in hotel. If we wish to book a luggage courier to bring our bags to the airport in advance, the hotel is not listed. Luggage couriers requires 24-hour receptionist to collect or handover the bags at any time of the day.Emma from Australia – 10 June 2025 (9/10)

Good location, clean and comfortable accommodation, friendly host and good service staff, I think will stay here again on my next trip.
What could be improved: If have room service will be much better.C from Australia – 20 May 2025 (10/10)
washing machine & dryer are excellent
What could be improved: Check in guide is too confusing & not seamless. Too many irrelevant pin codes, and confusing info. And the guest guide should have designed specifically for the respective unit & not one guest guide applied to all. Check in time should be at least 3pm like standard hotel, and check out time should be at least 11am.Treena from Australia – 4 May 2025 (9/10)
The location was excellent, the apartment was clean and comfortable. Liked having a washer/dryer and decent size kitchen. It’s not big for 4 people with luggage but with some creativeness we made it work.
What could be improved: We liked everything. A few extra pillows and some tea towels and plug for the kitchen sink would have been handy but no big deal.Wanting from Australia – 29 April 2025 (10/10)
Close to shinsaibashi shopping center but also with family feel.
