You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first pulled up to Apartment Hotel 11 Shinsaibashi 2 – the name’s a mouthful and it doesn’t exactly scream luxury. But this place really surprised me, and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s tucked right into Higashishinsaibashi, which is basically the sweet spot where you get all the energy of Shinsaibashi without the absolute chaos of the main strip. The building itself is pretty understated from the outside, but once you’re inside, you realize they’ve put thought into making it actually livable rather than just Instagram-worthy.

The apartment-style setup is honestly perfect for Osaka – you get a proper kitchenette (not just a mini-fridge and a prayer), which is clutch when you’re dealing with all the incredible street food and want to store leftovers, or when you just need to make coffee at 6 AM without hunting for a convenience store. The rooms feel more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel box, and there’s something refreshing about having actual counter space and storage. I noticed they’ve got these little touches that show someone who understands travelers – like enough electrical outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your devices, and the AC actually works properly (which, let’s be real, is not always a given). The whole building runs pretty quiet too, even though you’re literally surrounded by some of the best food and nightlife in the city.

What really sold me on this place is the location – you can walk to Dotonbori in about eight minutes, but you’re far enough away that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds stumbling around at 2 AM. There’s this little family-run ramen shop just around the corner that doesn’t even have an English sign, and the nearest convenience store has one of those hot food sections that’s actually worth checking out. The subway connections are solid too – Nippombashi station is right there, so you can get to Nara or Kyoto without the headache of navigating from the busier stations. I’ll be honest, it’s not going to wow you with fancy amenities or concierge service, but that 8.4 rating makes total sense when you consider what you’re actually getting for the price. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned because it just works, and you start to feel like you’re living in Osaka rather than just passing through.

  The room is quite small for 4 people. But the rest is OKAYY

  The location is in central Shinsaibashi area so it is very crowded with a lot of establishment nearby. getting food/snacks is very easy. Property is also very modern with great facilities. The whole check in and out were very smooth as we don't have to deal with people/staff. Keys for check in were in safeboxes, check out was simple with just dropping keys into the checkout box, main door had passcode for access. The room also has sufficient equipment/utensils for guests use.
  
  What could be improved: The area is very crowded so there's a lot of people. It's just not my preference. Hotel room is good for sleeping, however when you bring in luggages, then there'll be not enough space to spread open those luggages especially in the room for 4 person as floor area is occupied by beds. I also got one room for 2 person, and I have sufficient space for everything. The rooms are the same size, would seem smaller if more people occupying the room.

  It has everything you paid for, its clean and the location is convenient. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The area is quiet and perfect for resting.
  
  What could be improved: In Islam we say that if you make it easy on people, God will make it easy on your affairs. I really think a simple thing such as a hook in the toilet will help A LOT. Imagine undressing and wanting to hang a towel for a shower in a toilet with no hooks at all. It is a really inconvenient experience.

  Fabulous location of hotel apartment.
  Good value for money. First time staying at an AirBnb type apartment hotel. Instructions were clear and questions were responded to by the host/virtual reception quickly. Functional, clean and comfortable but a couple of design tweaks (additional hooks for hanging towels, additional storage shelves, bench seat in shoe cupboard area ) could further improve the experience.

  I recently stayed at this accommodation and was thoroughly impressed! The location is unbeatable—close to everything you could possibly need, from shops and restaurants to public transport. It makes exploring the area so convenient and stress-free.
  
  The property itself is spotless. The cleanliness was outstanding, and it’s clear that the team takes pride in maintaining high standards. The amenities were fantastic too, offering all the comforts and conveniences one could hope for during a stay.
  
  What could be improved: The only minor downside was the elevator—it’s small and there’s only one. This could mean a bit of waiting during busy times, especially if you’re traveling with a group or have lots of luggage.
