Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Apartment Hotel 11 Kuromon 2,” I thought it sounded like someone just threw words at a wall. But you know what? This place actually gets it right in ways that matter. It’s tucked right into Nihonbashi, which means you’re literally a two-minute stumble from Kuromon Ichiba Market, and I mean that in the best possible way. You can grab fresh sushi for breakfast at 7 AM if you want, or hit up those famous wagyu beef stalls when they’re not swamped with tour groups.

The apartments themselves feel properly Japanese – not in that fake “zen garden in every corner” way some places try, but actually functional. The kitchenettes are small but thoughtfully laid out (you’ll find real knives, not those useless butter knives most hotels give you), and honestly, having a washing machine in your room is a game-changer when you’re dealing with Osaka’s sticky summers. The building’s got that slightly industrial look that’s everywhere in this part of the city, but inside it’s clean and modern without being sterile. I stayed on the fifth floor and could hear the market vendors setting up around 6 AM – some people might find that annoying, but I actually loved getting that glimpse into the neighborhood’s rhythm.

What really sold me on this place is how it sits in the city. You’re walking distance from Dotonbori (about 10 minutes if you don’t get distracted by all the food stalls), but you’re staying where actual Osakans live and work. The Nipponbashi subway station is right there, so you can be in Namba in three stops or Osaka Station in fifteen minutes. And here’s something the booking sites don’t tell you – there’s this incredible little ramen shop called Menya 7.5Hz just around the corner that stays open until 2 AM. The owner speaks broken English but makes these incredible tantanmen noodles that’ll ruin you for everywhere else. The hotel staff actually recommended it when I asked about late-night food options, which tells you they know their neighborhood. Check-in was smooth, they’ve got decent English support, and they actually helped me figure out the coin laundry situation downstairs. It’s not luxury – this is a solid 3-star place that earns its 8.9 rating by doing the basics really well and putting you right in the heart of what makes Osaka special.

    This is my 2nd stay at this hotel, and this time I stayed as a family of 4. I would say the space is fine for 4 adults, as long you don't mind limited personal space. Otherwise the room is quite spacious for 2 people. You can collect toiletries and extra towels and slippers on the first floor. There are coin laundry facilities a few steps away from the hotel. I like staying here due to the walkable location to everything.

    The apartment is sooo clean. We felt so comfortable with our stay and definitely will be going back again. At the doorstep of Kuromon market, train station and ofcourse Family Mart 🙂
    I highly recommend this apartment as the host is very responsive and helpful. I also love their shampoo, conditioner & body wash lol! Made our Osaka first time trip very comfortable
