Look, I’ll be straight with you about the APA Hotel Yodoyabashi Ekimae – it’s one of those places that grows on you once you figure out what it’s actually good for. When I first walked up to it on Fushimicho, honestly, I wasn’t blown away by the exterior. It’s got that typical APA chain look, you know? But here’s the thing that matters way more: you’re literally a two-minute shuffle from Yodoyabashi Station, and I mean the kind of close where you can roll out of bed and still catch your train without breaking a sweat.

The rooms are… well, they’re APA rooms. If you’ve stayed at one, you know what I’m talking about – compact but surprisingly functional, with that firm mattress that either works for you or it doesn’t (it worked for me, actually). What I didn’t expect was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re right in the middle of Chuo-ku’s business district. The double-paned windows do their job, even with all the early morning foot traffic heading to the station. The shower pressure is solid too, which honestly makes up for a lot. I mean, after walking around Osaka all day, that’s what you really care about, right?

But here’s where this place actually shines – the location is money if you’re doing business stuff or want easy access to both sides of the river. You’ve got Kitahama just down the way, and crossing over to Namba or getting up to Umeda is stupidly easy. I found myself grabbing coffee at this little place on the corner of Fushimicho and Honmachi most mornings – nothing fancy, but the kind of spot where you see the same salary workers every day. There’s also a convenience store basically attached to the building, which saved me more than once when I realized I’d forgotten phone chargers or needed late-night snacks. The front desk staff were pretty helpful too, though the English varies depending on when you check in. They’ve got that efficient, no-nonsense vibe that works well when you just want to drop your bags and get on with exploring. It’s a solid 3-star that doesn’t try to be anything it’s not – clean, convenient, and reliable. If you’re the type who spends most of your time out and about anyway, this place handles the basics really well without the premium price tag you’d pay closer to the main tourist areas.

  The room was very nice and standard of APA hotel, despite being small, it has everything and is fairly comfortable to stay. The hot spring was pretty enjoyable and the crowdedness information on the TV was very helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The breakfast was pretty lacklustre (especially for the price it was commanding), and could do better with either higher quality ingredients, or more variety. The hot spring perhaps could be open longer into the night, as so to have a better chance to enjoy it.

  Good location, close to metro station. Convenience store across the street. In-house onsen was great! Whole hotel is very modern, clean and sleek throughout.
  
  What could be improved: Tiny room, was a struggle to open suitcase fully but at least you can store it open under the bed and slide it out when you need things.

  The location is really great and near a subway. The room was fine with all you need. Bathroom was fine, each day clean towels was nice. Checkout was really fast thanks to automatic checkout if you don't need to pay something extra. If you plan to just sleep at hotel and travel during day it was great. There is also 7/11 across the street ( like 10m away) if you like. Charger / controls next to bed ( sadly just usb-A , but its still fine ).
  
  What could be improved: Only downside was that the mattress was worn out in one spot a little. For some people maybe central AC, but the temperature was okay for me.
