APA Hotel Osaka Temmabashi Ekimae Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to APA Hotel Osaka Temmabashi Ekimae, you immediately get that “this is going to work out just fine” feeling. It’s one of those three-star places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not — just solid, reliable, and honestly pretty smart about what business travelers and tourists actually need. The lobby’s compact but efficient, and the staff genuinely seems to care about getting you sorted quickly. From the moment you step inside, you sense a commitment to straightforward hospitality.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about Temmabashi — it’s not the flashiest district in Osaka, but that’s exactly why it works so well. You’re literally steps from Temmabashi Station, which means you can hop on the Keihan Main Line or subway without any of that dragging-luggage-through-crowds nonsense. Osaka Castle is maybe a 15-minute walk if you’re feeling ambitious, and you know what? The neighborhood has this authentic local vibe that tourist-heavy areas just can’t match. I mean, there are actual salary workers grabbing coffee here in the morning, not just people with cameras. The accessibility to public transportation makes exploring the city effortless.
The Room Experience
The room is classic APA style — compact but thoughtfully designed. Everything has its place, and somehow they’ve managed to fit in a decent-sized bed without making you feel like you’re living in a shoebox. The bathroom’s small but functional, and honestly, after a day of walking around Osaka, you’re just grateful for a hot shower and a comfortable place to crash. The air conditioning actually works properly, which is more important than you might think during Osaka’s humid summers. You’ll appreciate the attention to practical comfort.
Breakfast and Bathing
The breakfast buffet is surprisingly decent — not fancy, but it covers the basics with both Japanese and Western options. You’ll find rice, miso soup, some grilled fish alongside scrambled eggs and toast. It’s the kind of spread that gets you fueled up without breaking the bank. But here’s what really sets this place apart — they’ve got an open-air bath and public bath facilities. After walking around Dotonbori or climbing around Osaka Castle, soaking in that bath feels absolutely perfect. It’s not a full-blown spa experience, but it’s exactly what your tired muscles need.
Why Guests Love It
Couples seem to really get what this place is about — the location scores consistently high because you’re connected to everything without being in the middle of tourist chaos. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that locals actually use too. The parking situation is manageable if you’re driving, though honestly, with the train connections here, you probably won’t need a car. It’s one of those hotels where everything just works without any drama — good wifi, reliable service, and you’re not paying for amenities you’ll never use. The overall value proposition makes it an excellent choice for discerning travelers.
Osaka’s experiences offer urban adventures with castle views, perfect for families wanting to discover daily life in this culturally rich Japanese metropolis.

Beautiful and serene hotel space
Margaret from United States – 30 May 2025 (9/10)
The bed was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We lost an earbud after checkout, and they had already found it and set it aside for us to pick up before we came back!
What could be improved: There isn't too much to do directly around the hotel but you are very close to Osaka Castle and a metro station!Fiona from Australia – 30 May 2025 (9/10)
Love the onsen, staff are wonderful

Modern feel and look. Close to station.
What could be improved: Washing machines don’t wash clothes. They all came out just as dirty as they went in. Even out in own powder and that didn’t help. Clothes dryer dont dry clothes enough. Had to hang clothes in bedroom.Leslie from United Kingdom – 15 May 2025 (8/10)
Good location for subway. Near Osaka Castle. Spotlessly clean like all hotels in Japan.
What could be improved: My room had no window. Not ideal when trying to deal with jet lag. It was stated when booking though, so not the hotels fault.Natascha from Netherlands – 13 May 2025 (9/10)
Good value for money. Bed was good, location great. Nice onsen!

What could be improved: Rooms are very small , a bit crammed.Vanessa from Germany – 29 April 2025 (9/10)
A true all-time classic – this hotel chain delivers consistent comfort across all its locations. The rooms are similar everywhere: clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. The location was excellent, making it a convenient base for exploring the area.
What could be improved: We had nothing to complain about, except that the room was a bit short on space. Otherwise, a reliable and pleasant stay!Anna from Austria – 28 April 2025 (9/10)
The room was practical and clean. The location was great. The breakfast buffet was great and had many options.
Aurelija from Belgium – 21 April 2025 (8/10)
Despite hotel room being small, it had many smart storage solutions such as lifted bed with space under to store your luggages. Many hangers & hooks in the bathroom & similar.
Breakfast was supplied with many Japanese dishes.
Super efficient check out
What could be improved: Our window was to the street and some nights it got rather noisy. Except of that, we had no issues with any noises coming from the neighbouring rooms or the hallway,
Most of the mornings we had to line up for the breakfast which was something very unusual for us.
