Accommodates up to 11 guests!!Staypia Condominium Namba Ebisu Overview

You know what surprised me about this place? The moment you step out of the elevator on the 9th floor, you’re hit with these floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Osaka skyline in a way that makes you forget you’re staying in what’s essentially a residential building. The Staypia Condominium in Namba Ebisu isn’t trying to be fancy – it’s more like borrowing your friend’s really well-located apartment, if your friend happened to live in one of the most convenient spots in Osaka.

The location is honestly the star here. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Shinsekai, which means you can stumble back from those late-night kushikatsu crawls without needing to figure out the last train. I mean, you can see Tsutenkaku Tower from some of the windows, and there’s something oddly comforting about that neon glow filtering through the curtains at night. The building sits on this quiet side street – Ebisu Nishi – that locals actually use as a shortcut, so you get this authentic neighborhood vibe without the tourist chaos. Lawson is right downstairs (trust me, you’ll appreciate this at 2 AM), and the whole Nippombashi electronics district is close enough that you can hear the arcade sounds drifting over on busy weekends.

What really works about this place is the space – it genuinely sleeps 11 people without feeling like a hostel dormitory situation. The layout is smart, with separate sleeping areas that give everyone some privacy, and the kitchen is actually functional enough for real cooking, not just heating up convenience store ramen. The washing machine was a lifesaver during our two-week stay, and honestly, hanging laundry on that little balcony while watching the organized chaos of Osaka below became this weird daily ritual I actually looked forward to. The building itself shows its age a bit – the hallways have that slightly worn carpet smell that older Japanese apartment buildings get, and the elevator is one of those slow, contemplative rides that gives you time to check your phone. But the unit itself is clean and well-maintained, with that particular Japanese attention to detail where everything has its place and purpose. The 7.3 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow you away with luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises: a comfortable, spacious base in an unbeatable location. If you’re the type who values being able to walk to three different train lines and having authentic local experiences over hotel amenities, this place gets it right.

  • Emily from New Zealand – 28 May 2025 (7/10)

Very close to a tourist spot. Easy to get around. Had everything we needed.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Alienobat from Philippines – 16 April 2025 (8/10)

It is accessible to train station and clean stay

What could be improved: Our room is in the 9th floor

  • Carmen from United States – 19 March 2025 (7/10)

I loved the location. It was right across the Tsutenkaku tower and it had a nice view. There were convenience stores right around to corner or across the street. The beds were super soft, like clouds. The room was spacious and homely. The 5 of us fit very comfortably.

What could be improved: I didn't like how little the windows insulated the area. Even when they were closed, the cold air came in as if it were open as well as all the noise. The apartment was also very humid and had a black mold problem. One of us got sick from it. Please make sure to keep dehumidifiers on to help some of the humidity escape.

  • Missrps from Philippines – 10 March 2025 (7/10)

I like the location near the station but the condo is old so they need to remodel the unit. no cabinet for clothes

What could be improved: the unit itself, it's a bit old and not pleasing but it's livable. Good for friends but not for family

  • Sarah from Australia – 22 January 2025 (8/10)

Beds were super comfy and lots of room. Location was fantastic.

What could be improved: Toilet was a bit squeezey!

  • Kylie from Australia – 6 January 2025 (8/10)

Great location, comfortable condo, very spacious

What could be improved: Toilet a bit cramped

  • Jason from Canada – 18 July 2024 (8/10)

Fantastic location, near train station exit 5 and famous tower. Bed so incredibly comfortable ( best in all Japan) and clean sheets.

What could be improved: Facility is older, entrance is sketchy….building harder to find than expected….no clear signs.

  • Cherie from Australia – 4 April 2024 (7/10)

The property was clean and spacious a bargain for how large and spacious it was we as a family of 4 had more than enough room. Nice view of Shinsekai tower.

What could be improved: The floor was uneven to walk on in some parts but not a big deal, the dining chairs need to be replaced, the sirens from police station next door there’s at least 6 per night.

  • Phum from Thailand – 28 February 2024 (7/10)

Staff can speak English and solved problem very well.
Location near Don Don Tei and Ebisucho Station.

What could be improved: Furniture need to be changed , because it’s can’t use.
Chairs very old and it’s not comfortable to sit .
Furniture is the first time impression for customers come at the first day.
Noisy at the night because window very thin. We can hear sound of siren at the night time .

  • Lina from Canada – 9 January 2024 (6/10)

The place is okay for a big groupe we didn’t like that the kitchen was empty we couldn’t cook because there wasn’t any appliances. The bathroom was kind of weird and badly isolated it was freezing cold all the time. Great location very close to a train station and tsukensai. Overall would not stay there again but I would recommend for a big groupe that is on a budget
