Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw that ridiculously long hotel name, I thought “oh great, another tourist trap.” But 212gblhouse actually surprised me in the best way possible. The place sits right in Nippombashi, and when they say one minute from the station, they mean it. I literally timed it because I’m that person, and it was 47 seconds from the ticket gate to their front door.

The room itself is genuinely spacious by Osaka standards, which honestly caught me off guard. Most places in this price range feel like fancy closets, but here you can actually open your suitcase without rearranging the entire room. The design leans modern without being sterile – think clean lines with some personality thrown in. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details that matter when you’re living out of a suitcase for a few days. Plenty of outlets (hallelujah), decent water pressure in the shower, and – this might sound weird – but the curtains actually block out light. You know how some hotels have those flimsy things that let in every streetlight? Not here.

The location is where this place really shines though. You’re basically in the sweet spot between all the major districts without being stuck in the chaos of Dotonbori proper. I mean, you can walk to the famous neon signs and takoyaki stands in about eight minutes, but you’re not dealing with the 2 AM drunk salary man karaoke sessions right outside your window. Kuromon Market is close enough that I found myself grabbing fresh fruit there most mornings – the vendors start setting up around 6 AM if you’re an early bird like me. And honestly, having Namba so close means you’re never more than a few minutes from incredible food, whether you want convenience store onigiri or some hole-in-the-wall ramen joint that doesn’t have an English menu.

The staff speaks enough English to handle check-in smoothly, though don’t expect lengthy conversations about local recommendations. They’re efficient and helpful, which is really all you need. One small thing – the building itself is older, so you’ll hear some footsteps from upstairs occasionally, but nothing that kept me awake. The 7.8 rating feels about right actually. It’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it does exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. For the price point and location, especially if you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring rather than lounging around the hotel, this place makes a lot of sense. Just don’t expect a concierge or room service – this is more of a really well-located, comfortable base camp for your Osaka adventures.

  L'appartement se trouve à un très bon endroit, et est spacieux avec beaucoup d'équipements. Les lits sont confortables et il y a de la place ! Parfait pour un groupe d'au moins deux personnes, les équipements marchent très bien et le logement est à côté de la gare, qui permet de nous déplacer facilement. Il est également possible de se balader à pied jusqu'à Namba ou Dotonbori facilement.
  
  What could be improved: Dans la chambre, il faisait un peu froid (Nous sommes venus en février) si le chauffage n'était pas assez haut et on entendait le bruit dehors comme si la fenêtre était ouverte. Je ne sais pas si c'est une mauvaise isolation ou si c'était vraiment la fenêtre qui était ouverte, mais nous avons vérifié et essayé de bien refermer, tout semblait en ordre pourtant.

  La localisation près du métro (sortie 2) mais attention beaucoup d'escaliers. Grand appartement pour une ville comme Osaka. Bon rapport qualité prix.

  駅やスーパーなどが近くにあり、また室内の設備もそこそこ揃っているので、便利で居心地が良かった。
  あと最大に評価するのは、ポケットwifiが自由に使えたことです。大変助かりました。
  
  What could be improved: 洗濯物を干すところはあるが、できれば乾燥機が有ると良いと思う。
  あとキッチンでは、包丁としゃもじは、置いてほしかった。
