Honestly, when I first saw the name “霜月simotsuki” I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this place turned out to be one of those hidden gems that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special in Osaka. It’s tucked away in the Kitasumiyoshi area – not exactly where most tourists end up, which is actually part of its charm. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s modern Japanese home than a typical hotel, and with three bedrooms that can sleep up to 10 people, it’s perfect if you’re traveling with family or a group of friends who don’t want to deal with multiple hotel rooms.

What really sold me on this place was how incredibly practical everything is. You know how parking in Osaka can be a nightmare? Well, they’ve got two free spots right there, which honestly saved me probably ¥3,000 a day compared to what I’d spend elsewhere in the city. And here’s the thing that blew my mind – there’s a 24-hour supermarket literally one minute away. I mean, you walk out the door and you’re there. Perfect for grabbing those late-night snacks or picking up breakfast ingredients without having to navigate crowded convenience stores. The location might seem a bit out of the way at first glance, but it’s actually brilliant. You’re only three minutes from the nearest station, and then it’s just a 10-minute ride to get to the heart of everything – Shinsaibashi, Namba, Nihonbashi. I found myself preferring this setup because you get that authentic residential feel in the evenings, but you’re still connected to all the action.

The apartment itself has this clean, minimalist vibe that feels very current without being cold or sterile. The bedrooms are well thought out – not huge by Western standards, but spacious enough that you’re not bumping into each other, and the common areas actually encourage you to hang out together. I loved having that kitchen space to make coffee in the morning or prepare simple meals with ingredients from that supermarket next door. The whole place stays surprisingly quiet too, considering you’re in a city of nearly 3 million people. What impressed me most was how the 9.4 rating actually feels accurate – usually those high scores are inflated, but this place delivers on the practical stuff that matters. The WiFi works, the air conditioning keeps up with Osaka’s humidity, and everything feels maintained and clean. It’s not luxury in the traditional sense, but it’s that kind of thoughtful comfort that makes you want to extend your stay an extra night just because you’re not ready to deal with airport hotels and early flights.

  停车位很大，特别适合我这样的新手，附近就有电车，走过去3分钟。旁边有个24小时的超市Lamu, 东西挺全很便宜，适合家庭旅游。客厅超大，大熊很出片！卧室很干净，很满意！超值！

  とても綺麗な一軒家で快適に過ごす事が出来ました！
  家族で利用したのですが、乾燥機付き洗濯機があり非常に助かりました！駐車場も広いので大きい車で行っても簡単に駐車する事ができました⭐︎トイレも二箇所あり良かったです⭐︎
  
  ただ一つだけ、室内の芳香剤？の匂いがすごくするので匂いに敏感な方はしんどいかもしれません（ ; ; ）

  What could be improved: お風呂と洗面所が2階なのでちょっと不便だった。
  洗面所が2階なので、1階にお化粧をする為の鏡があったら良かったと思う。
  ちゃんとしたお風呂なので、洗面器が無いのが不便だった。
  1階と2階にトイレがあるのは便利なのだけど
  手を拭くタオルが無いのでタオルかペーパータオルが欲しかった。
  キッチンのお皿を使わせていただいたのですが
  拭くものが無くて、キッチンペーパーがあったら便利だと思った。
