Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw this listing’s name, I thought it was going to be one of those too-good-to-be-true situations. I mean, a three-story house that sleeps ten people with free parking AND pets allowed in Osaka? But you know what, this place actually delivers on pretty much everything it promises, which is refreshing.

The house sits in Nippombashi area of Nishihari-ku, and honestly, the location surprised me in the best way. You’re basically fifteen minutes from all the chaos of Dotonbori and Namba – close enough that you can stumble back after a night of okonomiyaki and beer, but far enough that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists singing karaoke under your window at 2 AM. The Imamiya Ebisu Station is a quick walk, and from there you can get pretty much anywhere. USJ takes about 45 minutes on transit, which isn’t bad when you consider you’re paying a fraction of what those Universal-adjacent hotels charge.

What really won me over was how the space actually works for groups. I’ve stayed in plenty of “sleeps 10” places that technically fit ten people if everyone’s comfortable being sardines, but this one has real breathing room. The three bedrooms are on different floors, so if you’ve got kids or that one friend who snores like a freight train, everyone can spread out. The two bathrooms thing is clutch too – no more morning bathroom queues when you’re trying to get to Kiyomizu-dera before the crowds hit. The kitchen’s properly equipped, which matters when you’re feeding a group and don’t want to blow your budget on restaurant meals every single day. There’s actually counter space to prep stuff, and the fridge is big enough for more than just convenience store onigiri.

The free parking is the real game-changer though. If you’ve ever tried to park in central Osaka, you know parking fees can absolutely murder your budget – we’re talking 300-500 yen per hour in popular areas. Having your own spot means you can actually do day trips to Nara or Kyoto without the stress of figuring out where to leave your car. The neighborhood itself is pretty chill – mostly residential, with a few local spots that clearly cater to people who live there rather than tourists. There’s a Family Mart about two minutes away, and I found this little ramen place around the corner that doesn’t even have an English menu but serves some of the best tonkotsu I had during my entire trip.

The 9.3 rating makes sense once you’re there. It’s not luxury – this is a 3-star place and it feels like one – but everything works, it’s clean, and the host responds quickly when you have questions. My only real complaint is that the stairs are pretty steep, so if you’re traveling with elderly family members or have mobility issues, just keep that in mind. Also, the walls aren’t super thick, so if your group includes early risers and night owls, just be considerate about noise levels.

Bottom line: if you need space for a group, want to save money on parking and meals, and prefer being near the action without being in the middle of it, this place hits the sweet spot. Just don’t expect hotel-level service – you’re basically renting someone’s house, which honestly makes it feel more like experiencing Osaka as a local rather than just another tourist.

  very good set up! We had 5 people staying and we were all comfortable and not crammed at all. Good open living and kitchen that gave us an area to chill out but also big separate bedrooms that allowed privacy. Kitchen had all necessary items to cook and clean!
