You know what caught me off guard about Sakura ABC? It’s tucked away in Daikoku, which honestly isn’t where most tourists end up, but that’s actually what makes it pretty special. I mean, you’re right in the thick of a proper Osaka neighborhood – the kind where salarymen grab their morning coffee and old ladies walk their impossibly small dogs at precisely 7 AM.

The hotel itself is one of those solid 3-star places that doesn’t try to be fancy but gets the important stuff right. My room was clean (like, really clean – they take that seriously here), and while it wasn’t huge, it had this efficient Japanese design thing going on where everything just… worked. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, though I’ll warn you the pillows are pretty firm if you’re not used to that. What I loved was how quiet it stayed at night, even though you’re in the city – good windows, I guess. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful, not just polite-but-distant like some places. One guy actually drew me a little map showing the quickest walk to Nippombashi station, which saved me about ten minutes each day.

Here’s the thing about staying in Daikoku – you’re basically living like a local for a few days. There’s this incredible ramen shop literally around the corner (I went three times, no shame), and you can walk to Kuromon Ichiba Market in about fifteen minutes if you don’t mind a bit of a stroll. The area gets pretty lively in the evenings with all the izakayas, but it’s not rowdy-touristy loud, more like neighborhood-buzzing-with-life loud. Plus, you’re way closer to the real Osaka than if you stayed in some generic hotel district. The train connections are actually really good from here – I could get to Dotonbori in maybe twenty minutes, and Osaka Castle was even quicker. Honestly, for the price point and that 8.8 rating, I get why people keep coming back. It’s not going to wow you with luxury amenities or anything, but it gives you a genuine slice of the city without breaking the bank. If you want to experience Osaka beyond the tourist bubble and sleep well while doing it, this place delivers.

  Huge generous space for Japanese standards! It is a three storey house. Bottom entrance level has the dining room, kitchen, bathroom with bathtub, wash basin and separate toilet, Second level is a large bedroom a desk, two double beds and a toilet (no shower). Third storey has Japanese style futons two doubles and one single and a separate toilet. Finally there is the roof top with a washing machine, and a full shower and sitting area. We really enjoyed the space. Very convenient location. Five mins walk from two different train stations!
  
  What could be improved: There is a camera at the top of the stairs which looks into the second bedroom also. We thought it was just visual but it actually has sound broadcast too. We know this because one night we could hear a lady and man talking loudly and laughing from the camera at about 11pm. Made us slightly uncomfortable.
  Also the place is hard to find based on the Japanese address instruction. The owner really tried to help but bookings would block photos in the messages. It would be easier if the owner just gave the apartment name on English (Sakura apartments ABC) as that comes up straightaway.

  地點很好，真的離大國町車站超近的，要去其他景點都超級方便，搭車都很快就到了。而且房間也很大很舒適，有簡易廚房真的很適合跟家人出遊的人，晚上還可以煮宵夜吃
