Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “東瀛Stays 6階 ゆったり庭付きワンフロア部屋,” I had no idea what I was getting into. The address in Nippombashi East had me expecting some cramped business hotel situation, but man, was I wrong. This place is actually a entire sixth-floor apartment that you get all to yourself, complete with this unexpectedly charming little garden terrace that somehow exists in the middle of Osaka’s urban madness. I mean, who expects to find a private outdoor space when you’re literally surrounded by the city’s electronics district and all that controlled chaos?

The location is sort of perfect if you know Osaka at all – you’re right in Naniwa ward, which puts you walking distance from Kuromon Market (honestly, go there for breakfast, thank me later) and close enough to Dotonbori that you can stumble back after too many drinks without bankrupting yourself on taxi fare. But here’s the thing that really got me: it’s tucked away on a quieter street, so you don’t get the constant noise that usually comes with being this central. The building itself looks pretty standard from the outside – nothing fancy, just one of those mid-rise residential blocks you see everywhere – but once you’re up on the sixth floor, it feels completely different. The apartment is surprisingly spacious, actually lives up to that “ゆったり” (spacious) promise in the name, with tatami areas that make you want to just sprawl out after a long day of temple-hopping and street food hunting.

What really sets this place apart though is that garden space. It’s not huge, don’t get me wrong, but there’s something almost surreal about sitting out there in the evening with a convenience store beer, looking out over the rooftops while the city hums below you. The host clearly put thought into the setup too – there’s proper outdoor furniture, some plants that actually look healthy (miracle in itself), and decent privacy screening. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that awkward lobby hovering you sometimes get at traditional hotels. You know what? For an 8.2 rating, this place probably deserves higher. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with fancy amenities or concierge service, but if you want to feel like you’re actually living in Osaka for a few days rather than just visiting, this hits that sweet spot. Just be prepared for some stairs – the elevator works fine, but it’s one of those narrow Japanese ones that makes you question your luggage choices.

  Nice deco and spacious as we gotten the whole apartment floor. Overall is good.
  
  What could be improved: It's a bit distant from Subway, but not too far.

  This is an unstaffed property so all communication is done via messaging. However communication was excellent. All questions answered quickly and very helpful and accommodating. The apartment is large for a group and comfortable.

  This place was very cute and spacious. Fabulous I us change of pace from the hostel we stayed in last.
  The host was prompt in answering my questions. Used a door code to enter, probably the easiest check in process of the 4 places I stayed in japan.

  What could be improved: No instructions for any of the appliances. We figured it out eventually with Google translate and some poking around, but creating an appliances manual in the future would be useful.

  quite place in the center of osaka, building is aging but it doesn't matter, 3 family members can be accommodated because the living room has a sliding partition that can be made into a room, the two bathrooms was clean with complete toiletress, clean towels and slippers were provided,fast internet tv, complete kitchen utensils, near to a 24hr convenience store, and the garden outside at 6th flr is bigger than we expected that you can wash and hang your clothes ,and the main door has digital lock that you'll not worry if you don't have a key.
  
  What could be improved: train station is a bit distance but taxi can access the place and if you have car there are plenty of coin parking surround the place

  Great location nearby subways, restaurants… the place is really huge and was great for our family.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately the place is not well maintained, and looks worn out. Too bad to have such a great terrace, and the plants are dying. The motorway is noisy.

  Good location easy to access from the public transport. Quick to get public transport to get to the main city. Convenience stores are closed too. Offer free bath.
  
  What could be improved: Small spaces for the bed mattress. I have to move around the table to the corner in order to open beds fully.

  Comfortable and spacious apartment.
  Short walk from Osaka station.
  Lots of room for 6 people, can fit up to 8 comfortably though.
  Two showers and toilets, which were very pleasant.
  Large living area and bedrooms.
  Very close to convenience store.
