Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about this place in Chiyosaki? It’s actually one of those rare finds where the location sounds too good to be true, but then you get there and realize the host wasn’t exaggerating. I mean, when someone says “12 minutes to USJ by train,” you usually add 20 minutes in your head, right? But honestly, they nailed it – the Nippombashi station is basically around the corner, and you’re zipping straight to Universal without any of those annoying transfers that eat up your morning.
The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental, which makes sense since it genuinely welcomes families with babies (and I saw the high chairs and baby gates to prove it). What really sold me was how they’ve thought through the logistics that big groups usually struggle with – there’s parking literally a minute’s walk away, which in Osaka is basically like finding gold. The Kyocera Dome being nine minutes on foot means you can actually walk to baseball games instead of cramming into those packed trains with everyone else wearing team jerseys. And here’s something I didn’t expect: the walk to Namba is only three stations, but it’s also totally doable on foot if you’re feeling adventurous and want to see more of the neighborhoods between Chiyosaki and the main tourist zones.
The thing that struck me most was how this spot puts you in real Osaka rather than tourist bubble Osaka, but without sacrificing convenience. You’re still getting to Osaka Castle in six stations, Tempozan and the aquarium in three, and – this is huge if you’re doing day trips – Shin-Osaka in seven stations means you can catch the shinkansen without that usual cross-city schlep. The 2025 Expo connection being direct is just icing on the cake, honestly. The neighborhood itself has that lived-in feel where you’ll find tiny ramen shops and convenience stores that locals actually use, plus you’re close enough to Sumiyoshi Taisha that you can wander over to one of Osaka’s most important shrines when you need a break from the urban intensity. It’s one of those places where you end up understanding why someone would actually live in Osaka, not just visit it.

The rental home is spacious and well equipped. The host is a great communicator always on hand to answer any questions you may have. Internet connection was fast and I was able to do my work without any issues. The place was spotless and as pictured. Check in and check out was easy. The washing machine came in handy. The home is surrounded by great restaurants and worked AMAZINGLY well for me as I wanted to visit Nara, Kobe and Kyoto and the home is located within 1-1:15 hrs from all of those cities.
