Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Tengawa Inn Umeda Higashi, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. It’s tucked away on Suga Sakae-cho, which is actually perfect if you know Osaka at all because you’re literally a stone’s throw from all the Umeda action without being right in the thick of the tourist chaos. The building itself is pretty standard for a 3-star place in this part of town, but here’s the thing – sometimes the unassuming spots surprise you the most.

What really got me was how the staff actually seemed to care about making your stay work. I mean, you know how some places just go through the motions? Not here. The front desk folks were genuinely helpful when I was trying to figure out the fastest route to Dotonbori (pro tip: the subway entrance is closer than it looks on Google Maps). The rooms are clean and functional – nothing fancy, but honestly, when you’re spending most of your time exploring the city, you just need a comfortable bed and a decent shower. The AC works well, which is crucial if you’re visiting during Osaka’s brutal summer months. I actually appreciated that the walls weren’t paper-thin like some budget places I’ve stayed at in Tokyo.

Here’s what I really liked – the location is kind of a sweet spot. You’re close enough to walk to the major department stores and that whole Umeda Sky Building area, but you’re on a quieter side street so you’re not dealing with the constant noise of delivery trucks at 6 AM. There’s a convenience store literally around the corner (because of course there is, this is Japan), and if you walk about three minutes toward the main drag, you’ll hit some really solid local restaurants that don’t have English menus but serve incredible okonomiyaki. The 7.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on what it promises. I’d definitely stay here again, especially considering what you get for the price point in this neighborhood. It’s one of those places that just works, you know?

  Es un pequeño departamento, a 5 minutos caminando de una estación de metro, lo cual es maravilloso para poder recorrer la cuidad de Osaka. Tenia lavadora, cocina, y una mesa donde comer. Me encanto!
  
  What could be improved: Soy fumadora, así que un lugar donde fumar/vapear fuera de la casa, ya sea en la terraza o en la entrada del edificio estaría bien. Pero está prohibido en todas partes. Pero esto no afecto no experiencia en general.

  What could be improved: 隣の部屋や上の部屋に中国人がレンタルするととてもうるさいです。 防音はよくできない方です。 中国人は受けない方がみんなにいいと思います。
  
  옆방이나 윗방에 중국인이 렌트하면 매우 시끄럽슴니다. 방음은 잘 안되는편입니다. 중국인은 안받는게 모두에게 좋을거같습니다.

  有明火廚房、大冰箱、兩張舒適的床以及帶有能夠連結手機的智慧電視。甚至還有一台洗衣機！
  廚具、餐具都很齊全，但是調味料以及油料得自備，離天滿市場非常近，購置便宜的食材很方便
  
  What could be improved: 傳訊息給客服要求流理台濾網、衛生紙等，表明可以放置在某處自取，或是在隔天方便的時間補上等等。可惜的是客服在確認我的用詞之後就沒有其他回應了，可能是看到我傳的照片衛生紙還很多。但流理台濾網確實是沒有了，在第二天也沒有看到補上。

  What could be improved: in considerazione che la posizione era lontana dal centro , il check in tardi ( alle 16 , quante ore servono per pulire ?), non si puo´lasciare il bagaglio ( quando si fanno le pulizie perche´non e´possibile ? c´e´anche sazio tra l´ascensore e l´appartamento ), nessuna traduzione dei telecomendi in inglese ( se non sono graditi gli stranieri basta scriverlo ) tende oscuranti non efficienti , il rapporto qualita´prezzo e´molto svataggioso , negativo
