Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about ルミエール天満? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Tenjinbashi, but you’re literally a two-minute walk from one of Osaka’s most fascinating neighborhoods. I mean, the Tenjinbashi-suji shopping arcade – the longest in Japan, actually – is right there, and honestly, I spent way more time wandering through it than I planned.

The place itself is sort of an apartment-style setup (you’ll see it’s listed as 201, so it’s on the second floor), which I actually preferred to a typical hotel room. There’s something refreshing about having real counter space and not living out of a suitcase for a few days. The host was incredibly responsive – I had a question about the nearest coin laundry around 9 PM, and they got back to me within minutes with specific directions. Small thing, but it matters when you’re jet-lagged and dealing with three days of humidity-soaked clothes. The building’s pretty quiet too, which surprised me given how central you are. I could hear a bit of street noise in the early morning – delivery trucks, mostly – but nothing that woke me up.

What really sold me on this spot was the neighborhood feel. You’ve got this incredible mix of old-school Osaka right outside your door. There’s a tiny takoyaki stand about 50 meters down the street that locals actually go to (not just tourists), and the guy running it remembered my order by the third day. The Ogimachi Park is close enough for morning walks, and if you’re into the whole Osaka castle thing, it’s an easy bike ride – though honestly, I preferred just exploring the maze of small streets around Tenjinbashi. The train connections are solid too; Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome station gets you pretty much anywhere without the chaos of the main tourist areas. I stayed during Golden Week, which could’ve been a nightmare anywhere else, but this area stayed relatively sane. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what you want when you’re actually trying to experience Osaka rather than just pass through it.

  The apartment was really nice, comfy beds, sunny patio, nice having a washing machine, located in a great area, and great host that was quick in responding and very helpful! Will definitely stay again when back in Osaka!

  四個完整的獨立床鋪，完善的廚房及餐具，有獨立陽台可以洗晾衣服，可以攜帶式的WIFI機。

  Las camas son muy cómodas y que haya una para cada uno nos gustó mucho, muchos enchufes, la terraza muy bien y el poder lavar la ropa fue un gran plus.

  オーナー様の返信が早く、すぐに問題が解決できた点
  電源・延長コードが豊富にあり、複数人で宿泊しても家電類の使用、充電に困らなかった点
  洗濯洗剤、ティッシュ、食器等最低限の物が揃っていた点

  近くに飲食店が多く、コンビニもあり、深夜でも食事に困らなかった点
  
  What could be improved: バスタブに溜めたお湯を抜くと、排水溝から溢れて、トイレの方の床まで浸水してしまう点
  洗濯機の外装全体が、土埃？の様なのもで汚れていた点
  トイレ後の手拭きがなかった点(ハンドタオルか、ペーパータオルがあれば嬉しかった)
  物干しが少ない点(4人分の服、下着、バスタオルを洗濯したが、ポールが一本と、短い突っ張り棒しかなく、全てを干すのに足りなかった。カーテンレールに干せる器具や、長めの突っ張り棒があれば嬉しかった。天候に不安がらあった為、外の物干しは利用していません)
