Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw this place listed with that incredibly long name (seriously, it’s like they threw every nearby attraction into the title), I wasn’t sure what to expect. But this little gem in Tennoji’s Tenkachaya neighborhood actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s technically listed as a 3-star place, but honestly? It punches way above its weight class with that 9.6 rating, and I get why.

The house itself is this interesting mix of modern Japanese living with traditional touches that doesn’t feel forced or touristy. You know how some places try too hard to be “authentic”? This isn’t that. It’s just a really well-designed 4-bedroom house where someone clearly thought about how people actually want to live when they’re traveling. The rooms are genuinely spacious – and I mean actually spacious, not “spacious for Japan” spacious. There’s this little private garden out back that’s perfect for morning coffee, especially if you’re dealing with jet lag and up at weird hours anyway. The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s really nice house than staying in typical accommodation.

What really sold me on this place, though, is the location. Tenkachaya might not be the first neighborhood tourists think of, but it’s actually brilliant if you want to feel like you’re living in Osaka rather than just visiting it. You’re close enough to walk to Tennoji Station – and from there, honestly, you can get anywhere. Namba’s like 15 minutes on the train, Kyoto’s a straight shot without transfers, and if you’re planning that tourist pilgrimage to Tsutenkaku or Spa World, they’re practically next door. Plus, and this is huge – free parking. In Osaka. I mean, come on, that alone probably saves you 2000 yen a day if you’re driving. The neighborhood itself has this lived-in feel with proper local restaurants and convenience stores where you’re not paying tourist prices for everything. I actually found this amazing little ramen place two blocks over that I never would’ve discovered if I’d stayed in the usual hotel districts. The only thing I’d mention is that it can get a bit lively in the evenings since it’s a real neighborhood, but honestly, I found the sounds of actual life pretty charming after staying in sterile hotel boxes for years.

  The guesthouse is located near Tengachaya, just a 5-minute ride on the Nankai Electric Railway to Namba, making shopping extremely convenient. The house is beautiful, clean, and tidy, exactly as described in the photos. It has two toilets, a showerroom and a bathroom, so there’s no need to wait long for a shower! The property also features a Japanese-style garden, which is exquisitely designed and offers a fantastic experience. This time, we traveled as a family with a baby, and the guesthouse provided complete baby supplies, which were very thoughtful. Near the guesthouse, there are duty-free drugstores, 100-yen shops, large chain supermarkets, and restaurants, making it incredibly convenient. The host is also very friendly. Highly recommended!

  地理位置不错，在天下茶屋车站附近。天下茶屋车站南海线和地铁堺筋线两线可以使用。去哪里交通都很方便。去难波购物，电车只要五分钟！关西机场直达！房间环境很好，干净整洁，整体舒适度很满意！这次带宝宝去的，宝宝用品也很齐全！房东人也很好！下次还会再来！
